Meeting Mayor Rose

Aimi's Pov: I groaned as I started to wake up. I rubbed my eyes, feeling my skin instead of my fur. My eyes opened, and I was immediately blinded by a bright light. Once my eyes were adjusted, I saw that I was in a hospital room. "H-How did I get here?" I asked myself, very confused. "A friend of mine brought you here to the hospital" a voice said. I turned and I see a bald headed woman sitting next to me. "W-Who are you, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked her as I was sitting up, feeling a bit of pain as I did. "Take it easy now, Miss Shinzawa" she said to me, showing concern on her face. My eyes widen a bit as I heard her say my name. "How did you know my name?" I said. "We looked over your driver's license information. My name is Barbara Rose, and I am the mayor of Anima City" she tells me. 'The mayor of Anima City?' I thought. She leans forward a bit and asks "do you know what happened to you last night?" "Well, me and my son just got here and- Xen, where is Xen!?" I said, all of a sudden getting worried. "You don't need to worry, your son is very much safe. In fact, he is right next to you" she tells me. I look on the other side of me and I see Xen laying on a small bed, wide awake and cooing, reaching his small arms towards me. I reached in, brought him in my arms and cradled him gently. "Ah, thank goodness you're okay, Xen" I said to him. "Thankfully, he sustained no injuries" Mayor Rose said. I look back at the mayor when she said that. "That's a relief" I said to her.

I then suddenly remembered the wolf man that saved me and Xen last night. "Oh, I also remembered a wolf man that saved us last night from four other beastmen" I told Mayor Rose. "A wolf man? Oh, you probably saw Shirou Ogami. He was the one that brought you and your son here after the incident" she tells me. "He brought us here?" I asked. "He did, he also made sure that you were both treated extra well" she replied. "Well, if I see him, I'll be sure to thank him" I said. Mayor Rose smiles and nods her head. "You said you just arrived here only yesterday?" she asks me, to which I nodded yes. "Well, if you like, we can set up a few things to help you become a legal citizen" she said. "Really! That's great, thank you so much!" I said, giving her a kind smile. "You are very welcome, Miss Shinzawa. I will leave you two alone so that you can rest" she said as she got up to leave the room. After she left, I laid Xen next to me, who was starting to rub his eyes tiredly. As I started to lay down, a thought came to me. 'I wonder why this Shirou Ogami didn't stay? I would've liked to thank him properly' I thought. I didn't think too much about it after that, because sleep started to take over. Within minutes, I was already in a dream less slumber.
