Levi's POV*

I stood utop a large hill that was slightly outside the walls. We were on mission to capture a titan for Hanji to experiment upon.

I was scanning the horizon when a gargantuan head peeked over it, a horrifying smile on it. A loud thundering occurred as it rushed towards us.

"Titan ahead!" I shouted. I heard murmurs of disagreement. "Get moving!" I prompted.

"Corporal, where's the titan?" Eren turned to me with a curious gaze.

I looked at him incredulously. "You can't hear or see it?"

He shook his head. "No, not at all."

"My god, you must be both blind and deaf." I ran past the hill, launching my anchor into a tree and catapulting myself forward. The titan appeared fully, worse than before. I heard my subordinates shout, my claims confirmed. Eren and I led the titan to the ambush, where harpoons were shot and it was pulled to the ground. We managed to get it to a more accessible place for Hanji's unsettling experiments.

I was sitting in Hanji's office sort of room as she interrogated me on what Eren told her before.

"So, you really heard and saw the titan from around that many metres away?!" She exclaimed.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, nodding. "Yes, Hanji. I already told you that."

She squealed gleefully and I cringed, in pain. "SHUT THE FUCK UP, FOUR-EYES!"

She immediately jumped back and shut up, before jumping from her desk and examining me with instruments I didn't even notice on her.

She shined a light into my eyes and I wasted no time hissing at her and baring my fangs. "This is extraordinary, it looks like all of your senses have increased! I wonder how I could test if your sense of touch had increased!" I shuddered at the thought.

"No, Hanji. Fucking no." My voice was low and came from deep in my throat, the sentence soaked in vehemence.

She stepped back, realising my hatred for that. "Okay, grumpz, I won't. For now." I felt my eyes flash and she rolled her own.

I huffed and stood up,walking back to my room.

I got out of my uniform and into regular clothes, wincing at the pain the harness caused when it chafed against my skin. There were faint scars where it had gotten too bad, everyone in the military had them. I sat at my desk and tried to focus on my work, but I had a lingering headache and I couldn't. I briefly wondered what Eren might be doing around now.

Having no other alternative, I got in my bed and took a nap.

"My god, Heichou. You really are a cat." Eren was peeking in my door, since it was presumably dinner time. I sat up and glared at him.

"I had a headache, you brat." He walked over and kissed my forehead, quietly whispering "I hope you feel better." I blushed.

"Thanks, brat." I smiled. He sat on the edge of the bed, leaving the food on my nightstand.

"I'll let you rest, goodnight corporal."

I didn't want t him to leave, not yet. "Don't leave." He turned back and sat next to me as I scooted over in the bed.

Then, as much as it surprised me, I slept soundly for the first time in months, maybe even years.
