Zach dropped me off at my apartment. We waved at each other and he sped off. I couldn't believe how much of a good time we had together. I skipped all the way up to my apartment door. I took a deep breathe and turned the door handle.
Kira was in the kitchen cooking and Cherry was in the living room watching a tv show. I tried to sneak off to my bedroom. Kira quickly stopped me.
"So how was your night with the cutie?" She asked and used the wooden spoon she was cooking with to pretend to spank someone. I grinned at this and Cherry quickly paused her show and leaned over the couch.
"It was fine, all we did was go over music which I will go over with you guys when we all have time. Don't worry!" I held my hands up in defense and tried to still sneak off to my room. The next thing I knew Penny was behind me. I rolled my eyes as I felt her put her hands on my back.
"You expect us to think after four hours all you two were doing was talking about music?" Penny said and sort of pushed me toward the living room so I couldn't retreat to my room.
Cherry leaped over the couch and then turned around and did that high school move where you put your hands behind your back and pretend to make out with someone. I just laughed and rolled my eyes. Sure we were all in our late twenties but that didn't stop them from acting like high schoolers.
"You guys, literally we had a few beers and went over the lyrics I wrote for the next album. If ya'll would put some time aside and go over them with me you would know exactly what we did."
I was trying not to sound defensive but all of this was starting to annoy me. It was finally Kira that spoke up.
"Hey, tomorrow we should set some time aside to go over it. Axel is right, we have to get this next album ready to record."
I was glad she spoke up for me, she even gave me a wink. The other two girls kind of backed off. They nodded in agreeance. We all decided to set some time aside the next day to go over the music so we could decide when we would start recording.
I was still a little embarrassed but glad that it turned to be a good thing. Kira offered me a bite of what she was cooking. It tasted great! I took a small plate since I was kind of buzzing from the few beers I had. I grabbed another beer and disappeared into my room
I went over the lyrics I had wrote. I went back to the forbidden folder. I just didn't think our band was ready for things like that. Yet, the things that Zach told me said that our band had to grow and turn into the band that could handle that.

We had our little band meeting and went over what we thought our next album should sound like. The girls liked everything I had wrote. We did move around lyrics and the girls agreed that we needed a few songs that were more fun than murder. We worked on what those would sounds like. We all had a fun time and we at least knew where we should go from there. We all looked at our schedules. Our employers knew what they were getting into with us. We had to write out own schedules. We decided on a time for the studio. I was in charge of getting that time for us.
I decided to shoot a text to Zach and let him know what was going on. I didn't let the girls know that he wanted to be with us. I forgot and I felt like it would be a little bit weird right after we had that night out together.
He replied within a few hours.
"I'll get with a studio I like and get your hours ready. I told you I'll be there for you."
It was all he sent. I decided not to reply.

The rest of the week went by smoothly. I finally started at my salon. I checked my phone at every buzz, but it was never Zach. I don't know what I was thinking. I never replied to his last text. I finally finished my last shift before the weekend and I got home while the other girls were home. It was our last night before we started recording and working in the studio. I had a few drinks and I decided to shoot a text to Zach."So we still good for tomorrow?"
I sent the text and waited for a reply. I took a quick shot of tequila and then felt my phone buzz."Of course, we could go get a drink and talk about it if you would like"
Zach replied and I smiled. I was already buzzed but I figured it wasn't a bad idea as long as I didn't stay out too long. I replied back and waited for his reply.
"OMW" was all he said.
The girls were having a good time and I realized that they wouldn't miss me too much. I grabbed Kira and kissed her on the cheek.
"I'll be back don't wait up for me" I said and she just smirked and them took another shot.
I stood outside waiting for Zach. I was a little nervous but then realized I literally had no reason to be.
About ten minutes later I heard a motorcycle. I jumped a little bit hoping it was Zach. He didn't tell me what he was coming in.
Sure enough it was him. He nodded to me over to his bike. I saw the extra helmet and threw it on and jumped on the bike.
We drove for a little bit and ended up at the same dive bar.
We both jumped off and took our helmets off.
"I'm surprised to got ahold of me. I didn't expect you for a few days. I am glad though. I got the time booked and its ready for you guys. I have some time cleared up as well."
He said as he lit a cigarette.
I smiled and lost a bit of my balance. I should have not drank as much before I came out with him. He was going to think I was an idiot. I tried to quickly save myself and lean against the bike before he noticed. Thank goodness he didn't noticed.
He smoked his cigarette and then we went inside.
Sitting down was a lot easier. I first asked for a glass of water. The bartender gave it to me without a second glance. Zach ordered his drink and I quickly finished half of my water when Zach finally started talking.
"I'm glad you texted me, I feel like we left the other day on a sort of heavy note." He said and took a casual drink of his beer. I quickly shook my head.
"Nah, I mean talking about past relationships isn't too heavy. I mean we're both just adults getting shit off our chest. Doesn't have to be heavy." I said and pointed to my water and the bartender nodded his head and gave me a refill. This water tasted like the best I'd ever drank, or I was just already that buzzed.
I glanced over to Zach and he was sort of playing the rim of his glass. He looked up to me and smiled.
"Yeah, I guess getting stuff like that off your chest is good. Especially when you want to possibly dive back into the dating scene."
My heart sank a little bit. I mean he did talk about sort of being interested in me, but there was no way someone like him was going to actually want to date someone like me. Yet, since he was confiding me in I should be understanding.
"Oh yeah? Who is the lucky person that caught your eye?" I asked and started to finish this glass of water. Maybe I did need a drink if I was going to start listening about this new person he wanted to think about dating.
Zach tilted his head and began to think a bit.
"Well, she's pretty bad ass and really cute." He glanced at me and I quickly looked away and ordered a beer. I decided to go with a different one this time. I looked back over to Zach and he continued to talk.
"I mean I just met her, but I think she might consider dating me. I don't know, what would you think if I asked you on a date?"
He asked as I was taking a drink and I nearly spit it out. I just stared at him wide eyed. Was he really considering dating me? We did just meet. We nearly knew nothing about each other. I finally smiled.
"Well, I mean I guess I would have to say yes."
He grinned and took another drink of his beer.
I was trying not too look too excited. Now the next thing was how was I going to navigate this with the rest of the girls. What would they think if I told them about this? I mean we are friends so they would be happy for me. But if it went south what would that mean for our band?
