Chapter 20: Bubble Tea and Jealousy {Ava's Route}

~(Y/n)'s PoV~

        "And here we are!" I hum, holding my arms out in front of the café. It looks exactly like I remember it, bright colors, cute decor. The atmosphere is calming and brings back a lot of good memories.

        Ava gasps the second she realizes where we were. "Oh my god, I remember this place!" She turns to me, beaming. "We'd get boba here all the time back in high school!"

        I giggle and nod, unable to hide a smile of my own. "That's right! I was just thinking about this place the other day and figured, why not go back?"

        "Well, you're a genius!" Her arms snake tightly around my body, caging next in a close embrace. I giggle, hugging her back and smiling. When she pulls back, her hands find mine and glares at the boys. "Oh, and I swear to God if you wreck anything here, you will be out of the apartment so fast!" She hisses. The boys all tense up, I almost feel bad for a moment but I get where Ava is coming from. Maybe we should always tell them not to do anything stupid...

        I shake my head, letting go of one of Ava's hands to face the boys better. "B-But you guys should be fine, right? Just let us handle this and you'll be okay!" I smile at them, only to be dragged away by the shorter girl and into the café.

        Someone's impatient today... or maybe she just really wants some boba...? I don't really blame her...

        I follow her into the building and the boys trail behind us. The inside looks exactly how I remember it. A contented sigh escapes my lips as I look around. "Feels like home..."

        Ava nods, beaming. "I don't think I realized how much I missed this place..." She remarks. "Has it really been four years since we've been here?"

        I bite my lip, counting the years in my head. "Almost five, I think... crazy."

        "No kidding." She rubs the back of her neck, awkwardly. "Now, what should we get?"

        I hum, looking to the chalk board menu in the back. Classic milk tea, mango, honeydew, taro, strawberry, chocolate, passionfruit, jasmine, matcha...

        "I think I've figured out what to get the guys." I state, looking back to them and Ava. "As long as you guys trust my judgement?"

        They all look at each other for a moment before Pierce answers. "Yes."

         "Yeah! Y-You haven't led us wrong yet!" Noi says, smiling.

        Asch scowls. "Don't think we've let our guard down, though. We will make you regret it...!"

        I nod. "Noted." I look at Ava, trying to block out what Asch has said. "And for you, m'lady?"

        She giggles. "Milk tea, brown sugar!"

         "On it!" I walk up to the counter and smile and the man standing.

         "Hi, my name is Nico! What can I get you today?"

        I shoot a smile back to him. "Hi, Nico! I... actually, it's kind of a big order..." I rub my temples. "I p-probably should've thought this through better, I'm sor-"
