Perspective (+Naming?)

I've started plotting for a prologue and first chapter of the rewrite so far, and also started rewatching MID to start getting things in order for the next chapters. Because I don't want to stray from the characters and original jokes of the series, I'll probably keep most of the original dialogue, with some additions to hopefully help flesh out the characters and add a bit extra to the story. I'm really excited to it all fleshed out and I have high hopes that I could do some really interesting things with the original premise!

What I mainly wanted to ask about this time was perspectives to write in. There are two main thoughts I have about the POVs in my first version of the book which are 1) I have mixed feelings about using second person perspective, or referring to the MC as "you" because of how my writing style has changed and it's just not as interesting to me personally anymore, and 2) I don't really like how much I used to jump around in perspectives especially sometimes in one chapter (like, Chapter 4 for example was under 1,500 words but switched POV four separate times, which feels like a lot!) I just feel like it disrupted the flow of the story in some cases so I don't really like the way it reads.

The thing I do like about switching perspectives was that it allowed me to write other characters' thoughts. I don't want it to only be limited to the MC's thoughts. I want to be able to give some indicators about what Ava's thinking, what Leif is feeling, what plans Rhys has, etc etc.

So that would give me one of two options, but as usual, I want to hear your thoughts! I could:

A) Use third person omniscient through the whole story, which is to say third person perspective but it is all-knowing. That way I can still write for different characters' thoughts without jumping around too much.

B) Limit switching perspectives in each chapter to likely one or two POVs per chapter, thought it may still change chapter to chapter. So maybe chapter one is in the MC's POV and chapter two is third person, for example.

Let me know your thoughts on which one you might prefer! And if need be, don't hesitate to ask questions or make your own suggestions.

Additionally, I wanted to ask about some other things.

For starters, the separation of time between Earth and Daemos. I really like the idea that time goes faster because it creates a lot more urgency for the Daemos and their plan, but I also worry it cuts their time on Earth. I was reading back in my story and in Chapter 44, there's a conversation in which Lady Grandma (she's getting a better name in my series, idc) reveals to the King that Asch has been gone for three months. Doing the math (based on the idea that 1 Earth day = 1 Daemos week, said in one of the earlier episodes), that means three months is like 13ish Earth days? By episode 15 out of 26?? That feels so short, even though it's implied they're on Earth from mid-late summer to after Halloween so like idk.

I just want a time system that makes sense. If I stick with the 1 Earth day = 1 Daemos week, what's too long for them to be gone from Daemos? The King only notices Asch's gone after three months, so how much longer should I extend it? Or should I just change the rules of it, lmk!

Finally, I'm questioning whether or not to retitle the rewritten version, if only just for confusion, so there's a more obvious difference between the original version and the rewrite. Though I do really love the "what is love, baby don't hurt me" joke that everyone has made over the title lol

Curious about your thoughts!
