Draco and Serpensi walked with each other up to the castle from Hogsmeade Station once the train had arrived. Draco was still somewhat quiet compared to his usual self that night, Serpensi hoped it would wear off once they reached the warmth and comfort of the Great Hall. He seemed  to perk up a bit once she told him that she would not tell anyone what happened on the train. Everything seemed to be going well as they begun to laugh and joke with each other again -  a lot of the time joking about Pansy - which Serpensi was very pleased about. However, this was all stripped away as they approached the entrance to the castle. Hovering above them in droves, patrolling the castle boundaries were hooded, cold black Dementors. Draco froze on the spot and stopped moving and went as pale as he had done on the train. Serpensi tried dragging him along but he would just not move whatsoever. Seeing all of their classmates coming from behind them out of the darkness, Serpensi felt she had no other choice but to grab Draco's hand and look him straight in the eye. "Draco look at me." He looks up and they lock eyes "I won't let them get near you, or do anything to you. You're safe with me." This seemed to work just in time, still holding her hand Draco carried on walking up to the castle before anyone saw what had just happened.

When they were finally sitting in the Great Hall after the sorting ceremony had finished, Serpensi finally saw a grin return to Draco's face. Serpensi noticed that they were both bored when the old fool Dumbledore gave his start of team speech to all of the students. He mentioned the escaped convict Morfin had mentioned in The Leaky Cauldron, she kept wondering why he was so important. He was just one dark wizard after all.  But when he mentioned the Dementors would be stationed around the castle until Black was captured. She was confused why they thought he would try to come to Hogwarts.

Once Dumbledore had finished speaking, the food had appeared out of thin air. "Oh, how I missed this food." She thought hungrily. She started to dig in, when she heard the words "Psst, Pottah. Pottah" She turned and low and behold Draco Malfoy was taunting Harry Potter once again. He carried on the taunting "Is it true you fainted?" looking to his left to see Pike imitating a fainting movement. Looking back at Draco who had a massive smirk and smile combination on his face "I mean you actually fainted?!" She saw a scowl grow on the Weasley boys face as he very aggressively said "Shove off, Malfoy." He grabs the Potter boy and turns him away from us and towards the Gryffindor table. As she's turning back to the Slytherin table Serpensi notices a girl with bushy brown hair, brown eyes and buck teeth, she saw as she tucked away a gold necklace into her shirt. Serpensi found it hard to draw her eyes away from the girl until Draco tapped her on the shoulder and brought her out of her daydream.

As they carry on eating she glances everyone with a smile on her face, she looks over at Pansy and almost bursts out laughing as she can see her concentrating very hard and opening and closing her mouth every 5 minutes. While everyone's happily eating in silence Pansy finally opens up her mouth and that shrill voice of hers comes out albeit stuttering and stumbling over her words "Why's he called The Boy Who Lived? He should be called The Boy Who Fainted!" She then bursts out with a cringe inducing and ear bleeding laugh, while the rest of them at the Slytherin table just looked at her with open mouths as all of their forks hovered in the air in shock. Serpensi mocked Pansy "How long were thinking of that one?" Draco joins in "I reckon, as long as the Weaselbees have been poor!"

Leaving the Great Hall, after the other Slytherins, on a high Draco and Serpensi left for the common room. As they walked through the dungeons side by side, Draco's hand brushed past hers, not knowing if it was intentional or not she took it - she wasn't sure why but she liked it either way.

Serpensi's happy and relaxed feeling was short-lived as when they walked into the common room, Draco snatched his hand away. Not reacting as they were now surrounded by many others, Serpensi gave Draco a questionable look, as he wheeled round and presented three girls to her. Draco stuck out his arm and introduced each of them "This is Daphne Greengrass" as he presented a blonde hair, blue eyed rather tall and skinny girl. "This is Astoria Greengrass" this girl was very similar to the last, except for the hair and eyes, this girl had hazel eyes and black hair. The last girl came forward "And this is Millicent Bulstrode." This girl was completely opposite to that last two, she had black hair, blue eyes with a heavy, jutting jaw and a large, square build. Serpensi thought these three girls looked very nice if it wasn't for the fact they were friends with Pansy.

Daphne and Astoria ran forward to Serpensi and instantly gave her a warm welcome, whereas Millicent hung back and gave her a small, shy smile as Pansy was standing very close with an eyeful watch on Millicent. The two sisters swished Serpensi up to the dormitory and she didn't complain one bit.

Serpensi was very happy to be relieved of Draco for the evening for two reasons, number 1: she wanted to get to know the Greengrass sisters and she could tell they were going to be very good friends and number 2: she wasn't in the mood to talk to Draco that night.

She fell asleep after a long night of snacks and gossiping, feeling very safe and happy for the first time in a very long time.
