The two paladins parted a yard or two away from each other gasping for breath. Keith wiped the sweat from his forehead, panting between his words as he spoke, "I don't suppose...we could call this a draw?" Lance stood with his hands on his knees, breathing very heavily. He looked up, his face was flushed with exertion and his hair stuck up in odd places. Keith blinked, warmth filling his chest and butterflies filling his stomach. Though it felt a little strange, Keith found the Blue Paladin very attractive in this state.

"Fine," Lance gasped. "But only... this once.." he gulped the air, "I'll let you off easy." He finally was able to stand at his full height again.

"Oh is that what this is," Keith rolled his eyes. "So.. what now?" He inquired, truly curious to see if Lance had anything else planned to surprise him today.

"Uh... Well I was thinking, do you want to come interrogate Blue and I guess Red with me?" Lance picked up his hooded jacket and brushed the dirt off it.

"Interrogate...the lions...? And what do you think we'll accomplish by doing this?" Keith picked up his own jacket, and held it over his shoulder. The two made their way back to Arus, as Lance explained.

"I want to know how all this started, don't you? I mean, have they always been together? If that's so then that's a pretty strong relationship, I mean 10,000 years man.. And long distance too. Where do they see this going, like we talking white picket fence, a few kittens?" Lance rambled on and on. Keith just stared dumbfounded. How exactly did he find this guy attractive? Although the rambles were kind of stupid, they were also kind of adorable in a way.

"Is this the long way of telling me, you want to know if Red has the right intentions with this relationship with Blue?" Keith raised an eyebrow, directing the question at the Blue Paladin. Lance's jaw dropped a little, at a loss for words, his cheeks blushed and he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Yeah... I guess it is. I just want to make sure my beautiful girl is safe, okay," Lance chuckled a little awkwardly. Keith looked away, hiding his smile.

"That's pretty sweet," the Red Paladin whispered, half hoping Lance would hear.

The boys soon entered the hanger, Lance sauntered ahead of Keith and went straight to Red. Keith raised an eyebrow as his eyes followed the sway of Lance's hips. Why is he like this... Why did Keith like it so much... He shook the thoughts from his head as he took his place next to Lance. Not surprisingly the red and blue lions were next to each other, waiting patiently. Lance looked up to Red, hands on his hips.

"Alright, Red. Give it to me straight, what are your intentions with Blue, huh?" Red just stared the little Blue Paladin down, not moving or taking its eyes off its own Paladin. Keith felt a rumble, almost a purr in his chest.

"Hmmm, Red doesn't think we're old enough to be judging his relationship stasis, but they said they've cared and treasured Blue as a friend and ally long before you were born. Red wouldn't hurt Blue," Keith smiled, sending a thank you up to Red.

"Well... I guess that's all I ask..." Lance sighed, his shoulders losing their tightness. Keith let out a small chuckle. "What?"

"That was your interrogation?"

"Yes," Lance frowned, crossing his arms.

"Is this really about the lions or is something else bothering you?" Keith stepped a little closer, touching Lance's shoulder. Lance shrugged, lightly.

"I don't know... I like not hating you and actually hanging out with you. It's fun," Lance muttered, just audible enough for Keith to hear. Keith blinked in surprise.
