A Beautiful Saturday morning, bring the flowers to blossom, the wind to blow, the birds to sing and the people of California to wake up, with a smile on their faces. For the Johnsons, it's their day to wake up and do their necessary duties around the house, where Melinda and her mother agreed to go shopping for her first ball dance, with her friends today, where the boys had to do what they do best, is play games and mess the house upside. Then after cleaning her bed, brushing, and choosing an outfit for shopping, she went downstairs so she can make breakfast for her brother and herself. While eating her breakfast, they have received a doorbell, Melinda ran to see who it was, and when she opened the door, it was her friends, Bethany, Stephanie, Gabby, and Daphne. Letting them inside her home, they went to sit by the couch, greeting her brothers, her mother, and her dad. Moreover, after chatting and getting to know each other with a short introduction, it was time for shopping.

"It was officially the Match Day of Michael K. Washington, basketball game against a local high school, not sure what was the school's name, and it is a home game.  Meaning that the local high school will be at our house. Moreover, for us, which is my mother and my friends, we are going shopping for the ball tomorrow, so yea we are going to have a blast. Then off we are going, with mother's car, to the shopping center to a local store, called 21 Forever. We are going in and we split up, all finding our "one" dress for the ball. After searching and getting every one kind of dress, we all meet by the fitting room. So we committed to which dress looked good on each one of us. Then my final look was a black high-waisted knee-attire, with a wide shoulder line across it and I immediately fell in love with it. When I turned around, they were astonished and they could not stop smiling. So yea, my friends and my mother decided to buy the outfits, off to the cashier. Since my friends came with their parent's credit cards, they paid, and then my mother did the same. So it was time to go home and get ready to go to school for the game, super excited."

"Woke up this morning with exercise, keeping my mind positive for today's game, and then bring a victory to the school. After cleaning my bed, brushing, taking a bath, and went straight downstairs, to eat some breakfast with the family. Greeted by mother, Jamie Washington, and my pops, George Washington, and my two siblings, Sammy and James, and then with the one following after me, Jake Washington. " Alright guys, I got to hit the road to practice for the big day today, see you guys there", I say to them. "Hey dad, make sure to buy me a suit or something classic for the ball tomorrow, okay pops?" My father nodded, saying that he will handle it, with my mother saying, I will go with him okay. My family sounds poor, but we are a very wealthy kind of family. We believe in working hard, and saving our money as we work. I got my first house this year, after my 18th' birthday and then after my 6 monthly interviews for a job, I am now working on a local mechanic shop. So, I am now, on the road to the school grounds, to go to my practice for the game. Super excited to see my parents and my friends cheering me on, especially seeing Melinda today."

A few moments later, everyone starts to fill their chairs in the arena, so they could have a better view of the game. Surrounding the crowd, Melinda and her friends are on the closest chairs in the arena, right above the players sitting benches. As the chairs started to become fuller, the crowd was ready for the action. As Melinda was giggling and smiling, she caught sight of Mike, walking towards her, and giving his jacket, saying it's a present. So she wore the jacket,  did it feel warm and cozy inside that jacket. Her friends were so excited, and the game was about to start. Just then, her friends also got the jackets from the players, and the crowd was shocked and surprised to see that all of us, were wearing their jackets. Super crazy!

A few minutes after the final round, we are all waiting for the last 5-point lead from our team. The other team, which is the local high school, the fans are so hoping and praying to win a point so they can celebrate again, to win of course. Moreover, as one of our players, who was James, ran along the field to pass the ball to Mike, everyone was on their feet, eyes on the field, on Mike and his moves.

"As the ball was thrown to me, by my teammate, James, my heart was racing, banging strongly out of my chest, already sweating, legs jumping through the hoops of defense from the opposite team. As I am seeing the net, crowds shouting and cheering my name aloud, I boosted a little more on my legs and when I reached the last inches, I place the ball inside the net, and right after the seconds strikes, then, everyone came running to me, putting me on their shoulders, saying, "Mike! Mike! Mike! Mike! Mike! Mike!" With that view, I could see my friends and my parents cheering and sending their love to me saying, "We are so proud of you". When I finally caught Melinda through the crowd, with my jacket, looking so cute and happy, I whispered, "This is 4 you!" Showing her a heart shape with my fingers, she returned it with a heart and applause. Today was just a perfect day. Thank you, my Lord, I could not have done this without you today. Thank you so much!"

"I couldn't be any more proud of Mike, he did such fantastic work today on the field, with his teammates. I bet he is super happy, more than I am of course! His mother is super nice to me, we even got a moment to chat and know each other, so yea, I am glad that happened, and during that, I got introduced to his father, Mr. Washington, a very calm and normal man, funny at the same time. I just love his family. Moving on, my mother and my dad were super happy and proud of Mike too, telling me, "Baby girl, you are lucky to have found him, he is good for you, I am glad that you are happy. I can see why he likes you." When dad said that, I knew I choose the perfect one as a partner, he is for sure, smart, funny, tall, a leader, and hilarious too. Yea, I cannot wait to surprise him even further on the ball tomorrow night."

As the crowd was going for their exit, Michael went straight to the family, giving them hugs and kisses, saying that there are proud. The Johnson family agreed on having a family dinner with the Washington family, later on, then he went to Melinda's family, giving them high fives, hugs, and short talks, and lastly, to his beloved, Melinda, picking her up in a swing, laughing and giggling, he said, "Thank you for coming today, Melinda, I appreciate it big time from you." Melinda said, "You were great out there, today by the field, I could not be any more proud of you, I would love to hug you again, but the shower is calling you!" Laughing at her joke, they walked off and headed home.

Until the end of the day, both of the families had a clean change of clothes, preparing and serving their plates for dinner by Johnson's house.
