Thanks God, our home was less of a garbage cliff nang makauwi ako. Kahit papaano, nabawasan ang negative sa paligid.
Hindi ko maalis sa isip ko yung nakita ko kanina. I hate it. I hate the ways of the world. Easy ways. Easy yet dirty. Can't they just be responsible for their wrong doings? Or better yet, can't they just stop doing those kind of things? Hindi sila nakakatulong sa ekonomiya. Ugh, bad vibes, get off my mind!
"What's with the long face?" Agad na tanong ni ate Kuting nang makita akong nakasalampak sa sofa. Napatitig naman ako sa kanya. How about her? Soon, magiging abogado siya. Gagawin niya rin ba yung ginawa ng mga officers kanina? Pagtatakpan niya rin ba ang mga nagkasala kapalit lang ng kakarampot na halaga? I can't take that. "What?"
"Nothing. I'm just thinking."
"About?"
"Your future. The kind of lawyer you will become."
"And? Anong tingin mo?"
"I don't know. I just hope you won't do stupid things like protecting someone who hurt people." Just like that guy and those officers.
Kawawa naman ang future generation kung kalalakihan nila ang ganoong kalakaran. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to become an educator. To protect what is left of us humans. To protect the humanity within our innocent children. I hope the world wouldn't taint those innocent minds.
"Let's not worry about the future yet, cous. We'll never know what the future holds but we knows who holds the future. For now, do your thing and focus on clearing your path towards your dream destination." She patted my shoulders as she stood up to go to the kitchen. Minsan, may sense rin talaga yung mga sinasabi niya.
