chapter 31- mission fail

    Kentaro, and you have finally arrived at the police station, and brought into a conference room full of cops. The chief sitting at the end of the table "Okay now let's discuss the plan. Miss. Ayumu, your goal is to get Sakamoto Shuij, out of hiding. Now in order to do that we will need full corporation from both you, and Kyotani Kentaro. Do both of you agree to follow every instruction?" not even thinking twice about you answer him "Yes I do." "Yeah." Kentaro, says

    The chief nods his head. "Good. Now we're going to have our tech team install cameras outside your house, and inside. Only place you'll be able to have privacy is the bathroom just in case he gets in through a bedroom window. Next is the most important part, you, and Kentaro, are going to pretend to date. With that being said I don't want Mr. Kyotani, to leave your sight Miss. Ayumu."

    "After we get the camera's set up which we'll have audio to go with the feed. I want you two to go to Sakamoto's, house. Go inside, look around, take your time, and if he's there he'll be probably enraged he'll try to attack you Kyotani. If that does happen Miss. Ayumu, press this button." he says sliding a small black remote with a red button in the middle of it. "It'll alert us, and we'll come rushing in to arrest him. We won't be near for his sake, remember only push it if you see him."

Picking the remote up, you inspect it eyeing it carefully. "Alright any questions?" he asks glancing back, and forth between you two. "I don't think so, I'm ready to start whenever your team is ready to leave." you say with confidence. The chief smirks at you. "Great. They'll follow you back to your house, and once they're done they will leave." nodding your head you wrap your left arm around Kentaro's, right one making him turn his head with a faint blush you fail to notice.

The tech crew worked fast, not wanting to waste a second. Meaning it time for you to take action. Getting into Kentaro's car, he looks up the directions that were given to him by the chief. You guys rode in silence. Comfortable silence. He slowly parks the car, turning off the engine, and looking at you. Memories come flooding back making you whimper at the thought of going through that again. "Hey, I'm here now. Let's hurry up, and get this over with." he says rather calmly.

Getting out you walk a tad bit in front of him leading the way. Opening the door with a single twist to the doorknob you enter the house looking around. The bird is gone, you grew fond of that birdie too. It's so quiet you could hear your heart pounding. Shoes hitting the floor, the breathing. It all makes you wary. He goes to check the bedroom while you go to the kitchen. Once you get to the basement door you reach your hand out, and try to swallow down the lump in your throat. Pushing the door open you turn on the light.

Biting your lip you start to creep down the stairs not trying to make a sound. Getting down there you look around not spotting unusual. Feeling a little relax you let your guard down, hunch over putting your hands on your knees. You close your eyes as you let out a forceful airy laugh until a cloth clamps over your mouth with a hand pressing down. Red flags start going off in your head, and then you remember the remote.

The person grabs the remote of your back pocket from your jeans, and bends down, dragging you along, and putting it on the floor. Standing back up the person starts to grip your neck tightening their grip. "You know, you've been messing around with a lot of people. Naughty. Chloroform takes about five minutes to knock someone out, so I have to make this go by quicker we don't have time to spare I'm afraid."

Sakamoto's voice rung through your ears. You start to spas out, thrashing around until you just tired yourself out even quicker. Next thing you knew, you were passed out in his arms. Kentaro, couldn't find anything in the bathroom nor bedroom. Walking down the hallway he stops in his tracks. He knows you went to the basement, but something felt off for him.

Running down the staircase, almost tripping over the brick that's at the last step, he scans the place. "Y/N!?" he kept yelling but to no avail he doesn't get a response. Seeing the remote on the ground he picks it up, and starts to push the red button repeatedly running back up the stairs still clicking the remote. As he makes his way outside he screams out to you hoping you'll pop up, but instead all he got was crickets, and other wide animals noises.

Cop cars surround the house in less than two minutes. Officers running to the male, others running inside with their guns ready. Kentaro, explains what happened inside clearly mad at himself for letting you explore alone. He wasn't suppose to let you out of his sight, and what happened? He let you out of his sight.
