Helen walked back to his house, holding back his smile. He announced to his mother that he was going to bed, and for her not to bother him. His mother gave a small nod and went back to washing dishes.
Helen grabbed his mask and put it on his face, looking at himself in the mirror for a few seconds before crawling out his window. He dashed in the direction of the party.
He snuck in and grabbed one of the knifes from the kitchen. He slunk into the breaker room and shut down the power before creeping to an unknown room. There, Maggie was on her phone texting someone, a bit concerned.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
Y/N looked up from his phone and looked around. "What was that?" He mumbled. He was outside beside the pool. He had watched someone get pushed in and get laughed by the crowd before the lights went out. He helped the kid get out of the pool.
"Is this apart of the party?" Someone asked.
"Ohhh! That's cool! I hope you guys don't piss your pants." Another laughed.
They all stood idly, wondering what would happen next. Y/N looked back down at his phone, his flashlight on along with everyone else's.
Another scream.
And another.
"Should we go inside and check it out?" Someone asked. Y/N shook his head, yet about five people went into the building.
They waited. . . .
And waited. . . .
And waited. . .
"It's been twently minutes. Where are they?" A girl asked, very scared at this point. Y/N shrugged, but still looked for them.
Suddenly, someone screamed behind them. Everyone turned to see a kid dead in the pool. His red blood spreading out in the once clean water. A girl was the first to scream, backing away a bit.
People were now getting killed left and right. No matter how much they scrambled and screamed, they died.
And all by one person?
They were quick on their feet, and used their knife with intent. Y/N watched as his classmates dropped, one by one.
Until he was the only one left. . . .
Helen looked at y/n, who was surrounded by bodies. He stared in horror at his friends bleeding out below him.
"Y/N. . . ." Helen said gently. Y/N flinched, his breath heavy as he stared at Helen with his shaking eyes.
"H- Helen . . ?" He replied, jerking a bit when Helen took a step closer. "Don't do this, Helen. . . W- We're friends!" Y/N pleaded, shaking more. He couldn't bring himself to hit Helen, but he was too shaken up to run.
"We are friends. . . Best friends. . I'm sorry.. but you have to go too. . ." Helen said gently. He himself didn't want to do this, but it was necessary. "H- Helen. . . . Please. . . Don't do this to me.. to us.." Y/N said, shaking more as Helen approached. Helen was panting, his eyes narrowed.
"Just know.. I- . . . I. . I've always loved you. ." Helen said gently, his breath getting heavier as he raised his knife.
"Helen.. Helen no..." Y/N slammed his eyes shut and put his arms up, ready for the strike.
But it never came. . . .
Y/N opened his eyes again, seeing Helen pull up his mask, tears streaming down his face as he dropped the knife. "I can't. . ." He mumbled, stepping closer to y/n.
"I can't kill you. . . I just can't. ." Helen said, pulling y/n into a hug. Helen sniffled and sobbed more. Y/N stood there, shocked. He didn't know what do to. "Y/N I. . . I love you. . . More than a friend. . ." Helen confessed before dropping to the floor, knocked out.
Y/N didn't process his words, and instead let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, his legs wobbling to the point where he fell, passing out as well. . . .
Beep. . . .
Beep. . . .
Beep. . . .
Y/N slowly peered his eyes open, noticing he was. . . In a hospital? Carmelo was holding his hand, asleep beside him. Y/N looked around confused. How did he get here? Why? When?
Where is Helen?
"Y/N, you're awake! Are you okay?!" His grandpa asked, grabbed his other hand, taking it in his own. Y/N looked over to his grandpa. His head boomed and throbbed. He gave a small nod.
"Why am I here?" He asked in a raspy voice. He wanted water.
Carmelo rubbed his eyes and sat up. His eyes slowly widened. "Y/N! You're alive!" Carmelo smiled. Y/N stared at him, confused. "Of course I am. Wh-"
"That weird paint guy almost killed you!!" Carmelo growled, holding his brother's hand tighter. Y/N groaned a bit, closing his eyes as he tried to remember the night before.
"I love you. . . More than a friend. ."
Y/N snapped his eyes open. Helen had confessed to him last night. Y/N began to freak out a bit. Carmelo, thinking y/n was hyperventilating from fear, starting trying to calm him down.
Y/N let out a breath and looked at his brother. "He was never going to kill me, Carmelo. He couldn't." Y/N said. Carmelo gave him a weird look.
After a short bit, a doctor came and checked over y/n. Y/N had no major injuries, and he could leave the next day. Y/N asked where Helen was, and when he heard he was at a mental facility to get better, he frowned.
Y/N couldn't get a blink of sleep that night, too busy thinking about Helen's words. Helen loved him? Helen wasn't one to joke, so he knew he was telling the truth, but it just didn't seem real. Y/N wanted to get another conformation by Helen, but he knew it wasn't possible. . .
Or was it. . . ?
