When y/n returned to the same spot he had came to yesterday, Hoodie was already there. Y/N gave him a confused look, but ignored it and decided to hop on the fense again and watch the building again closely.

"Don't you think you should work on your running skills and such?" Hoodie suddenly asked. Y/N glanced at him. "No, why?"

He shrugged. "I thought it would be something to occupy you while you wait for your important friend to come out."

"How would you train how fast you can run, anyway?"

"I could teach you." Hoodie shrugged. Y/N thought about it for a few moments before finally agreeing. He was getting bored looking at the quiet hospital anyway.

Hoodie and y/n ran around the forest together, taking very small breaks when y/n got tired only to start back up again. Y/N began to regret his decision.

While jogging, y/n's mind began to wonder. He had watched Helen kill all those people, and almost got murdered himself, so why didn't he see Helen differently like everyone else? Why does he still want to be close friends with Helen?

But. . .

Helen has a crush on him, and he didn't know what he felt towards Helen. He didn't want to make anything awkward between them, but he didn't really want to talk about it while he was still making a decision on what to do, so he hoped Helen would not bring the subject up.

Still, that doesn't explain why whenever y/n thinks if Helen, a smile comes upon his face. He should be scared and disgusted like everyone else, yet he isn't. Why is that? Why was he still so comfortable with the murderer? Sure, in the heat of the moment he was terrified from his ears to his ankles, but after that, it was like it never happened. Nothing at all.

Y/N accidently bumped into Hoodie's back, too caught up in his thoughts to move when Hoodie stopped.

"Oops. . . Sorry." Y/N apologized. Hoodie stayed silent. Too silent as always. And as always, y/n got uncomfortable from this tension. Y/N waited and waited.

"How about we train your combat abilities. . ?" Hoodie asked softly, turning around to face y/n. "Maybe later. . . I ran so much my body hurts. ." Y/N panted, sitting down onto the ground. The air around them would gently prick their skin with coldness, and that's exactly what y/n wanted. He was hot and exhausted.

Y/N removed his coat and his shirt, leaning back a bit and letting out a small sigh. "Why are you even working me? Can't we do something fun?" Y/N groaned. Hoodie shook his head gently. Y/N only groaned again in response.

"We should probably head back now. . The kids could be coming out." Hoodie said. Y/N hoped up on his feet at the thought, his coat and shirt tight in his grip as he ran off like his stamina was never lost. Hoodie slowly followed behind.

When y/n looked through the fence, the kids were already outside. Y/N looked around almost desperately for Helen.

He searched and searched until his eyes laid upon that midnight haired boy, his eyes as bright as the stars. His soft, porcelain almost skin brushing gently against a few leaves as he watered a few plants.

Y/N couldn't have been happier.

He grinned and snuck over to him, popping out of a bush and startling Heln, causing him to gasp and take a few steps back. Y/N laughed at the response to his scare, but Helen seemed to be frozen in shock that y/n was even here.

"Y- Y/N. . ?" Helen asked lightly, seeming confused. "Yep! That's me! Happy to see me, right?" Y/N smiled brightly, putting his hand on the fence. Helen put his hand on the same spot of the fence, but since they weren't on the same side, they weren't exactly touching. Helen nodded quickly, a small smile forming onto his delicate features.

It felt like the day y/n first saw his precious smile. He was absolutely at awe at the sight before him. He felt blessed to see the quiet boys expression lighten into a hearty smile such as this. It caused great satisfaction and pleasure to see Helen happy.

"I missed you, so I snuck by!" Y/N chuckled, keeping himself back from jumping over the fence and hugging Helen so tightly that the small boy might break in his embrace.

"You're not. . . afraid of me? After everything I've done. . ?" Helen asked softly, a bit scared of the answer to come. He didn't know what y/n thought of him, and his opinion was the only one that seemed to matter in Helen's world. Yet all of Helen's worries faded when he took another look at y/n's face. There was no fear, nor disgust, or even pity. There was only happiness, thankfulness, and grace.

"Screw it." Y/N thought, climbing over the fence.

"H- Hey! Someone could s-"

Helen went silent as soon as y/n wrapped his arms around him in a soft yet firm clutch. His eyes widen, feeling y/n snuggle into his matted hair, which he did not remember the last time it had been brushed. Helen hesitantly hugged back, soon closing his eyes and filling his nostrils with the scent of mint and lemonade. He never realized how good these hugs felt until he had lost them.

"I forgive you, Helen." Y/N said as softly as a pillow. Helen dug his face into y/n's shirt more, holding him tighter. Y/N only chuckled and allowed this action to take place.

"I don't deserve you, y/n. . . I don't. ." Helen said with shaky breaths. "Yes you do! Don't ever say that." Y/N said, picking his head up from Helen's hair. He caught a girl staring at them. He glared at her and she whimpered, quickly walking away.

He watched the girl walk and almost immediately realized that she was about to report him to a staff member. Y/N quickly pulled out of the hug. He looked at Helen sadly, tucking a bit of his midnight matted hair behind his ear. "I have to go now, but I'll be back tomorrow, okay? I promise." Y/N smiled, gently grabbing Helen's hand and locking their pinky's together. Helen gave a small smile in return and nodded. Though he was quite disappointed, he didn't show it. He watched y/n hop over the fence and run off. Helen picked up his watering can and started watering the plants again.

"He's given you grace, despite everything you've done. Hold onto him." Hoodie said, popping out of the blue. Helen looked up for a second before nodding.

"I know. My only goal in life right now is to have him love me, but even if that never happens, that's okay. Even if it doesn't. ." Helen gave a smile, a real one to Hoodie. He closed his eyes, chuckling a bit as his smile got a little bigger.

"I've had such a good life with him. . ."
