{Shuichi Saihara's Pov}

A few day have gone by since the argument I had with Kokichi. It honestly felt like a week or two, but I could be wrong.
Because if it was weeks, then Monokuma would be pestering us for another kill...

As I layed on my bed, staring at my ceiling, I started to let my thoughts wander. That is until Kaede's voice came out of nowhere.

"Have you checked on Kokichi and the others yet?"

I sat up and saw her seemingly sitting on my bed, looking at me.

"No, I haven't. I would assume you want me to do that now?"

She nodded.

I sighed as I got up.

"Like he'd even wanna talk to me..he's been avoiding me since that argument..."

"Even so. His life could be on the line. There's no time for holding grudges."

"I know, and I'm not holding a grudge against him. Hell, I've tried reaching out to him after that..., he just ignores me or walks away.."

"That's why you have to be persistent!"

"Like that's easy..."

"You never give up in the trials! Those are worse..but this is even more bad...he could die..."

"Yeah, I know..."

"Then quit dilly dallying!!"

"Alright alright..."

I took a deep breath and tried to muster up as much courage and strength as I could...

I knew this wasn't gonna be easy, but I had no other choice.

I walked over to my door then grabbed the handle. I let out the breath then opened the door and left my room.

As if almost immediately, Kaito came over to me. He looked pale..

"Hey Sidekick! Are ya doing alright?"

"I could ask you the same thing.."

He coughed a little then smiled, "yeah! I'm fine! You however, haven't left your room that much."

"Ehh..haven't really found a reason too."

"Oh? What's the reason you're out now?"

"I finally have some energy.."

"That's good! Glad to hear it!"

I let out a small chuckle.

"Well, I've gotta go.., cya around, Kaito."

"Yup! Cya later, sidekick!" He gave me a thumbs up before I turned to leave.

Once I got outside, I made my way to the school's entrance. I could see Kiibo standing there, he looked confused and concerned about something...

"Hey Kiibo, you okay?" I asked as I approached him.

He jumped up and looked at me. "Huh?! Oh, yeah.., I'm alright."

He still seemed lost about something.

"Are you sure?"

He nodded before quickly walking off.

"Uhmm, okay?"

I made my way inside the school and walked the halls. I've grown accustomed to it being empty like this, but still hurts knowing that it once held so many amazing and interesting people who were my classmates...

As I got lost in my thoughts, I didn't notice Kokichi was standing in the hallway ahead of me.

"Yo idiot! Watch where you're goin before you bump into each other!" MIT's voice rang out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I looked up and saw Kokichi writing in a notebook, he seemed to be very concentrated on it.

I didn't let that stop me, however. I walked over to him and gently tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey Kokichi?"

He quickly closed the notebook and looked at me.

"What do you want now.?" Still annoyed...

"I just wanted to see how you are-"

"Can you drop that shit already? What's the point in lying? It won't get you anywhere."

"Kokichi, I'm not lying." I stated.

"Uh huh. Sure." He mumbled something after that.

"What?"

"Nothing. Now what do you want from me? There's gotta be some stupid reason as to why you're pretending to care."

"I'm not pretending. I genuinely do care about you, Kokichi."

He rolled his eyes and scoffed.

"I'm being honest. Now whether or not you wanna believe me, is completely up to you."

He looked away then mumbled something again.

"For fucks sake, just speak up. Normally you don't care what comes out of your mouth."

Silence.

"Look, I get that you're probably not used to having people who care. And actually mean it. But now you do, so either suck it up or deal with me constantly pestering you."

"Why are you just now telling me this...?"

"What do you mean...?"

He looked at me and I could tell what I said made his act break. He looked like he was genuinely gonna cry...

"It's too fucking late, Shuichi. The plans already been made."

"..what plan....?" I felt my heart drop when he said he made a plan. Something tells me it wasn't a good one...

"It doesn't matter now." He grew cold as he rebuilt his mask.. "I've gotta go now. Bye." He left without another word.

However, I didn't feel like there was anything more I could really do...

Maybe he was lying about the plan..?
No..., that'd be impossible...he almost cried infront of me over it..he never does that...

In that case...

Shit.
