Chapter 4: Action!

{Kokichi Oma's Pov}

I walked into the room I told Kaito to meet me in and saw that he wasn't here yet.

"Damnit Kaito...do you always have to be late?" I grumbled.

I sat beside the hydraulic press and waited for him.

Why did he have to do that...? Why did he have to tell me he actually cares now?! Of all fucking times! I mean, I wanted more than anything in this world to finally have someone who cares about me.., but it's too late now. The plans been made. If I tried to hold it off, Kaito would get pissed. Plus, that's just selfish of me. After all..., I'm doing this to save everyone...even him...

A loud bang knocked me out of my mind. I quickly looked up and saw Kaito in distress.

"Pfft, what happened to you? Did you get railed that hard?" I gave a dry laugh.

"Kokichi, what the fuck..no.."

"Sure.."

"Maki's pissed because she saw me walking and I refused to tell her what was going on..." Kaito walked over to me as he talked. He took off his jacket then handed it to me.

I took off my shirt then we exchanged clothing items. I put his jacket over my shoulders and sighed.

"That must suck." I chuckled.

"She could've followed me..."

I rolled my eyes then handed him my scarf. "Give this to Shumai for me, okay?"

He took it and looked at me with confusion.

"Weren't you guys just arguing?"

"Just shut up and do it when you can."

"Alright! Alright.."

As Kaito walked over to the button, Maki barged in. She held a crossbow with a couple arrows.

"ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?!" She instantly shouted.

"Awww, you gonna miss your boyfriend?!" I mocked.

She walked further into the room then shot me in the arm.

"Shit!"

"Maki, just calm down..."

She pointed the crossbow at him as he made his way closer to her.

"Look, I really don't wanna have to use force or anything.., but please just go.."

Maki stood her ground.

"Are ya dense?! He said to leave!"

She quickly glared at me. I guess getting her attention to focus on me was a decent idea.

"Maki roll, I'm sorry in advance..." and with that, he knocked her out.

"Damn Kaito..."

"I didn't want to! But I kinda had no other choice!"

"Yeah, well, uhmm..., I think you killed her instead."

His face whitened. "Wh-what..?" He looked at Maki and saw that her head was bleeding.

"Fuck! No no no no no no!!!!!!" He fell to his knees then picked her up and held her corpse in his lap.

"Damnit..Maki I'm so sorry...this wasn't supposed to happen!!"

I got up and walked over to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and sighed.

"I'm...I'm really sorry Kaito...I didn't expect it to play out like this..."

He looked at me with tears streaming down his face.

"We both didn't..." he looked back down and hugged her lifeless body while sobbing.

Feeling awkward as hell now, I put his jacket over his shoulders. I went over to grab my shirt then put it on. Before doing so, I pulled the arrow out of my arm. I put my scarf on as well before leaving.

I made my way to my room to deal with the wound on my arm.

Halfway there, I saw Shuichi standing in the hallway. It looked like he was mumbling to himself...

Not wanting him to freak out over my arm, I swiftly walked past him. Yet he still saw me..

"Hey Kokichi, are you okay?!"

I ignored him and quickly made my way to my dorm.

"Wait, Kokichi!" I could hear him chasing me so I quickly ran to the dormitory.

I rushed into my room and shut the door. Locking it before I went to my bathroom. I took my shirt off then began to clean and treat the wound.
