Sarawat's POV

"I'm so sorry" said Tine, holding me tight and rocking me gently.

"But how? I know he's mine, I've felt it within me from the first time I held him" I whispered, tears swimming in my eyes.

"He is your son, whether or not you're his birth father" said Tine, kissing my cheek and stroking my hair.

I wept, silently first, and then with sobs that shook my body. I would lose Win, I had no claim on him.

I tried talking to Pam, to reason with her.

"Well, well, well. Look how the tables have turned. Maybe you should have thought this through" she said, laughing cruelly.

"You've never wanted Win. Even now, you don't want to keep him. Why would you do this to your own child?" I pleaded.

"If you want him so bad, why don't you get your boyfriend to give me what I asked for?" she said, blowing a smoke ring at me.

"Because what you're asking is impossible. And it's not even up to Tine. It is a decision that affects the company's public image and revenues directly. It has to be approved by the Board of Directors. And they would never agree to make you the brand ambassador of GMM Enterprises" I said, shocked that she would even entertain such an outlandish idea, let alone be adamant about it.

"Well then, you had better hold on to Win while you can" she said sneering.

"Ask anything else of me, anything at all, and I will give it to you. Be a mother for once and think about what is best for your child" I begged.

"Okay then, fuck me. Spend a night with me, no holds barred. Erase the memory of Win from my head and I might consider it" she said, leaning into my face.

I shirked away involuntarily. Her eyes went wild and her mouth pulled into a rictus of rage.

"How dare you? Do you think you're too good for me? That I mean nothing? And you call yourself a man?" she screamed, swiping her nails at me. I dodged them in shock.

Her face smoothed abruptly, and she continued calmly as though nothing had happened.

"I'll be generous and give you the next ten days to figure out how you're going to make me the next face of GMM. After that, it's bye bye Winnie" she said, and stalked off.

She was exhibiting sure signs of mental instability. It terrified me that Win might be with her for any length of time at all.

Tine's POV

"Have we found the father yet?" I asked. We had only seven days left.

The proposal of her being the brand ambassador had been rejected long before it was even tabled before the Board.

It was never really an option anyway, just a sign of how desperate I was in the absence of anything else more concrete.

"Not yet" replied Type, shaking his head. "She had many sexual partners in the time period that she got pregnant in.

The reason we know it's not Wat for sure is because their blood types are not conducive to being father & son. Wat's blood type is A and Pam's is O. Win's is B, which cannot be a combination of Wat and Pam's blood types.

Using the same method of elimination, we have narrowed the list down considerably, but there are still at least three possible candidates that we know of, and there may be more we may not know of. We're trying to get in touch with them at the earliest for a paternity test.
