All that week, I could not sleep. My dad had the security guards show him the recorded tapes from the day Casey had disappeared. The security footage at the hospital showed a man carrying Casey out of the hospital when no one was looking. Then the footage from outside showed him shoving her into a car and driving away in a matter of 4 minutes. My mom exploded in tears while seeing her baby girl getting kidnapped on the cameras.
And just like that, my sister was gone.
I cried so hard. Every minute of each day passing.
We left the hospital once the doctors 'okayed' it. But we were there everyday since the kidnapping. The hospital was at risk of getting sued for their irresponsibility.
I have been home for nearly 6 days.
No signs of my baby sister anywhere. But police are on the lookout.
And they aren't quitting.
My mom stopped going to work this week. Her priority was to put up fliers and ask people if they'd heard anything.
My dad was constantly on the phone with police officers. And police officers were constantly at my house.
An AMBER alert was sent out.
And that is what usually drives the kidnapper into killing the victim in order for them not to get found.
Blake and I spoke the day I returned from the hospital. He was really mad at me for dissing him. I apologized, but he's still a little mad. But Blake still helped us put up fliers and search for Casey.
We drove around the area many times together in his mom's car. Blake and I really searched for Casey. And there were fliers everywhere.
Today, Blake was not mad at me. He woke me up this morning, actually, by climbing through my window and scaring me.
Honestly, he was awesome. He helped out so much to find Casey. My parents were very grateful.
The time I spent with Blake was not only bonding between us, but it was a step closer to finding my sister.
I had to skip the first 2 weeks of school.
Blake was really bummed out.
But I began school 3 weeks after that. It was the middle of December. All the kids at school gave me odd looks and they pointed me out and called me "the delayed daisy" since I started so late. But who gives?
Blake was by my side, as promised.

The first week of school was hard. No more laying around doing nothing; now was the time to study.Once I started school, Lilly finally left me alone. I guess she only comes out when school is not in session...
By now, it was 7 o' clock at night. I was doing an English assignment about a book we were reading in class.
To my surprise, Blake came by to visit.
"Hey Harpie!" He said as he entered my room. I set aside my binder filled with paper and I stood up.
"Hey! What's up?" I asked.
"I just got back from football. And get this- I hung up fliers to help find Casey. The principal let me!"
I smiled."Thanks so much. My parents really appreciate it."
"Anything for Casey. She needs to return asap."
His words warmed my heart.
"So how was school for you?" Blake then asked as he sat on my desk.
I tried to contain my anger. But it was no use.
"The whole school hates me!" I blurted out. "I don't get it! No one will even talk to the delayed daisy!""The delayed daisy?"
"Yeah...my new nickname."
"Don't worry 'bout it. You have me." He said as he stood up. His eyes met mine. And we stared at each other.
What was happening?!
I just played along with it.
"I know I do." I said and I grinned.
I stepped closer.
Then Blake put his hand on my cheek and kissed me.
So that's what was going to happen.
