I gave Blake my phone number earlier in the day. He could not stop texting me until I told him that I had to go to bed. His reply was
"Okay beautiful.
See u tomorrow!
Remember!! Meet me at the neighborhood bench at 11! I have to give u something!!!!!"

I replied.

"Kk. I'll b there."

By now, it was 10:30 in the night.

I trudged up the stairs to my room in my pajamas.

I literally made so much noise stomping up the stairs. Finally, I shut the door to my room and I walked over to my bed. The air was cold...

My attention went to the window.

Great.

It was fully open.

Without hesitation, I slammed it. Hard. The glass shook with all the force I put into it. And I made sure it was locked.

This was the LAST straw.

I've had enough.

"HEY!" I yelled out.
"I AM TIRED OF THIS CRAP! STOP IT!"

Then I added, "GO BUG SOMEONE ELSE!"

Problem solved, I thought. No more "ghost."

I climbed into my bed, pulling the covers up to my knees.

The window shook a little. I looked over to it.

Some force was trying to open it.

And it did.

The locks unlocked themselves.

And the window flew open.

My jaw dropped. What is going on!?

Then, to my horror, my closet door opened.

Really!? Are you kidding me!?

The silhouette (I realized it was the one from the nightmare I had) stepped out from the shadows. The moonlight, from my window that opened by itself, glowed on the body that just walked into my room.

The person I was looking at was disgusting. I was not scared. I was plainly horrified.

To begin with, this person had an odor. And they desperately needed a bath. Or 5.

It was clearly a girl.

It had long, wet hair, which was all tangled and knotty. Some of it fell in front of her face, giving her the appearance of a grudge.

And her feet were bare. She left footprints behind her. Blood covered her whole body- head to toe.

She had a dirty nightgown on her brittle torso. But it was clearly outgrown. The end of the seam met her kneecaps.

I noticed that she was missing a finger in her left hand. And her arms were all scratched.

The girl stood there motionless, as if she were trying to make me panic like they do in the movies.

Instead, I just sat there, observing her disgusting figure.

"Hello Harper." She spoke.

"Hi." I replied.

"We've met before, but not in person." The girl said. "I spoke to you not too long ago."

"We talked?" I asked.

"Yeah...I'm Lilly."

Then she walked over to my bed and she sat down where my feet were.
.....................................................
We talked for an hour.

Lilly explained to me the exact story that dad told me when we moved in.

She told me that she needed help.

And I was her only hope.

I listened patiently the whole time she talked.

Her family left her because they were careless. They all hated her.

And Lilly had gotten her revenge.

They were all found dead in their car a week after they fled. Each of them suffered from severe blood loss and all that crap. But most importantly, suffocation.

Lilly told me how she did it.

They had no idea that their daughter's ghost was going to end their lives the way that she did.

"They were driving for quite some time. It was a busy road, and most people die in cars when it's an empty and isolated road." Lilly had said.

"I planned it perfectly. They were off to San Diego, and I was giving them all a one way road to doom." (at this point in the story, Lilly laughed her head off.)

"Anyways, once they got caught in traffic, I quickly did my duties. Not a soul even saw what happened. Then, I ran off back here. I tried to beg others like you for help...but they disappointed me terribly. They all ended up like my family did.
"So Harper.... I know that you are different. You have not been in this house long, and I want you to do me a favor. Each night, you will leave that window open."
Lilly pointed to the window that pissed me off earlier.
"I like cold, fresh air.
And I also really want you to talk with me each night. Like we are right now.
I finally have a friend. I know it!"
Lilly exclaimed. Then she stood up and walked over to the closet door.
"Goodnight." she whispered and she disappeared into the shadows.
