"Ava, you've given enough blood" Connor said tensely, seeing how she held her ground, not giving up. It took a long time, but he couldn't stop the bleeding because of the blind spot.

"You haven't finished yet, and if I remove the needle, he will die" Bekker shook her head weakly, knowing that her actions have a major impact on a man's life.

"This is crazy" Rhodes breathed helplessly, as he began to examine the patient's internal organs more closely, trying to cut the spleen's connecting link.

Time was running out, and Connor almost managed to finish the operation, but he saw that Ava was staggering on the spot, barely able to stand on her feet.

"Ava, sit down" Connor commanded, frowning at the blurry look in her eyes that didn't focus well on him.

"I'm fine" she tried to reassure him, exhaling noisily, but still sinking into a chair, holding out a trembling hand, feeling sick and dizzy. Her condition has noticeably worsened. She's already given a lot of blood.

"Be patient, Ava, stay with me" Connor said, a pathetic plea in his voice. He didn't hide his excitement for her, seeing how bad she was.

Only nodding, Ava gasped, trying to stay conscious, even though her vision was already blurry and Connor's voice was blurred.

"Now... That's it, we did it" Connor said relieved, see that Ava had passed out on the edge of the operating table.

"Ava! Ava!" Connor shouted as he ran to her, dropping his mask and gloves to the floor, carefully lifting her so that her back was against his stomach, her head falling back against his chest.

"It's all right, Avey, dear, look at me" he whispered desperately, pulling the needle out of her hand, holding a sterile cloth over the puncture site.

"Did we do it?" Ava said hoarsely, managing to open her eyes a little, breathing hard, still seeing the blurry image in front of her.

"Yes, we did it, Avey..." Connor said, his temples throbbing with fright, holding on to Ava, afraid to let go.

They were motionless for about a minute. Ava turned her head a little to rest her cheek on Rhodes' chest, closing her eyes again because of the indescribable weight. Warmth spread through her as, even through her half-conscious state, she experienced Connor's feelings that the quarrel meant nothing.

"I need to sew it, and you should lie down" came to his senses Connor is in helping Ava to get up.

"I don't think I have any options" Ava chuckled softly, referring to the lack of a bed.

Pulling out a few clean sheets, Connor quickly spread them on the floor, then laid Ava on them, leaving a rolled-up towel under her head.

"How inventive you are" even in this state, Ava easily used a note of skepticism.

"I don't want you to fall off your chair" Connor went back to the operating table and started sewing up the patient, not hearing any more of ava's comments because She didn't have the energy to do it.

"Ava, are you here?" worried that she'd passed out again, Connor said.

"Yes, Connor, you shouldn't worry so much about me" Ava murmured weakly, opening her eyes for a second.

"Stay with me, we will restore your blood soon" he promised, ignoring her comment, knowing that he would only calm down when she was in a normal room with a large number of auxiliary droppers and, of course, blood.
