Part 3

Edie's perspective

A few months later it was time for Christmas break and me and Luna would be staying at Hogwarts for Christmas and Neville and Ginny went home. We spent most of our nights chilling in the Hufflepuff common room hanging out and playing games. When Ginny and Neville got back I was thankful and we all hung out. The days passed by slowly and every night me, Luna, Ginny, Neville and a few other random Gryffindors would hang out in the common room and then we would all get tired and go to sleep.
A few months later the day I had been dreading but excited for came. It was the last day at Hogwarts and everyone was packing up their things and hanging out with friends. I was to stay at the Weasleys with my father over the summer which I was quite excited about. On the ride home I rode with Luna, Ginny, and Neville as usual and we sat in silence most of the time. It was like I blinked my eyes and I was on the ride to the Weasleys. Sirius had picked me, Ginny, Ron, Fred, and George and we were all stuffed in his car.
When we arrived at the Weasleys I hopped out of the car and grabbed my bags and lugged them up the crooked stairs of the small but welcoming house. When I got all unpacked me, Ginny, and George went to sit outside for a bit while we waited for Fred. Ron was doing something else, who knows what.
It was to soon before I was back in Hogwarts. Me and Ginny sat in an empty compartment and waited for Luna and Neville. Eventually Luna and Neville were sitting in front of me and we talked about our summer and I talked about the pranks me and the twins pulled. We were all laughing and happy to be together again. Soon enough we were all stepping of the express and heading into the large doors of the great hall.
As usual the first years were lined up and the rest of us has taken our seats. After everyone was sorted, most going into Gryffindor, the feast began. I stuffed my face with food, more than last year, choking multiple times but when I finished I was full and sprinted up to the Gryffindor common room where the party would be. Unlike all the other years where just Gryffindors and a few other separate houses came almost everyone was here. A lot of people had grown including me. Last year I was just a small little girl but this year I mean... I was still short but that's not the point. I had grown into my skin and now my cheekbones were defined but still soft enough in a welcoming way. I had hourglass curves that almost all my clothes hugged besides my robes. My hair was now all a bright purple as I wanted to dye my hair and Sirius actually helped, we did at home dye.
I looked like a whole new person. Much more serious and beautiful rather than playful and cute. I still was fun obviously I just had a different vibe to me.
