Most of the summer I would play outside with Lou and Soren and watch the wild animals frolic in the forest, listening to the breeze and my favorite sound the silence. We live far out near the woods with a small pond next to our house. I would sit out by the pond, the silence was beautiful. Not the type of silence that made you go crazy but the silence of nature. No cars zooming by, no loud people talking and laughing, just the birds chirping and the breeze in the trees.
Sadly the silence was over too soon. The horses in the pasture behind the thin woods went in the barn for food and I heard Sirius yell "Edie c'mon time for dinner!" I walked back to the little house, Lou in my arms and Soren on my shoulder. I walked back in the cool breeze of the house hitting my face. We had a warm chicken with buttered corn. After dinner I went up to my room to pack my case. Tomorrow I would be heading back to Hogwarts.
I woke up early the next morning and dressed in a yellow Hufflepuff hoodie and soft gray shorts. I slid on some black fuzzy socks, white crocs, and we were on our way. Soon enough I was in a compartment with Luna across from me. Ginny and Neville were sitting somewhere else.
When the train started to leave I realized me and Luna would be alone for the train ride and my heart gave a flutter and slightly blushed. After a bit of time and I knew no one was around I peeked over to the compartment across from us and no one was in any of the surrounding compartments... I could kiss Luna right know and no one would know. But I pushed that thought out of my mind. About a minute later I felt myself lean forward of my seat a bit, closer to Luna. And then it happened. It felt unreal one second I was looking into Luna's soft blue eyes the next I was leaning in. Then our lips touched and I was kissing her. She kissed me back and I got butterflies in my stomach. I pulled away a bit shocked. As I looked into her eyes she smiled. "I-I'm sorry I just- I don't" but before I could finish Luna cut in "It's ok. Really. I liked it." She blushed. "Hey Luna I need to tell you something.." she looked at me as if she was telling me "go on" "I-I like you Luna. No. I.. I... I'm in love with you." I stuttered. "I love you too." Luna said and almost immediately I said "Can I do it again? Y'know kiss you?" Luna looked at me, smirked and said "No. I get to kiss you now." I smiled and she pulled me in her soft embrace and we were kissing again. Her soft lips against mine.
