"Hey, I think you should come to move into sway!"

I see the text from my boyfriend, Jaden Hossler, and my heart drops. I quickly blew up on tik tok a few months ago, Jaden and I have been a long-distance, public, couple. I totally want to move into sway but that means I would be an official tik toker. I would love to be, but it's a lot of stress and drama which I don't like. 

I text back, "Hey! I would love to! Let me speak to my parents first before we get too excited."

"So you want to move there with him?" My mother asks as My father, Mother, Older brother and younger brother, and younger sister are gathered around the table for dinner. 

"I do. I mean, I know you guys might be thinking no right now but it is a great opportunity for me! So, so, so many new people. It's just a 13-hour drive too! If I don't like it I can always come back too, it isn't like this has to be forever." I say looking at my parents. They look at each other and my mother nods,

"Okay, me and your father will speak about it tonight." My mom stands up along with my dad and they head upstairs as they finish their dinner. 

"Y/n's turn for the dishes!" My younger brother, Carter who is 9, says running off upstairs with his iPad.

I carry all the dishes out to the kitchen and begin washing them. My older brother, Jason who is 19, and my younger sister, Kaylee who is 14, walk into the kitchen. "LA huh?" Jason asks leaning against the wall. I look up, "Don't talk me out of it. I want to do it. You guys can visit whenever," 

"It is a lot of money, I respect your decision." My sister says and I smile as I continue washing the dishes. 

"You think they'll agree?" Jasons asks and I shrug, "I hope so."

"So? What'd they say?" Jaden asks as I pick up the facetime call and lean it against my bathroom ledge as I take off my little makeup. "They are talking about it tonight and will tell me tomorrow." It gets quiet and I begin washing my face. "I hope they say yes, i really want to see you again." Jaden says and I smile.

Jaden and I have only met once out of the 3 months we have been dating. We met up halfway and stayed in a hotel after out day together. It was super fun and I really enjoyed myself with him, I was happy. 

"Yeah, me too." I say as I grab my phone and take it to my bed as I lay down. "I think I'm going to go rest now, I'll talk to you tomorrow." He nods and smiles, "Okay baby, goodnight. Sleep well." He blows a kiss as I blow one back and I hang up. 

I stand up and make a quick tik tok and then lay back down, scrolling through my following feed. I like a few videos as one catches my eye of Vinnie Hacker. Someone commented on a video asking how to dice roll and he replied with a video of him lunging onto a wall and it made me laugh. Me and Vinnie had only spoke once and it was when I was put into a groupchat with a bunch of big tik tokers and he texted me on the side asking for my name so he can save my number. 

I scroll through tik toker for a while longer and I put my phone down and try to fall asleep.

"Y/n?" I hear a whisper and I turn on my LED lights and look up towards my door. "Kaylee? You okay?" She nods walking over to my bed and sitting down on the edge of it as I sit up. "I just... I figured if Mom and Dad day yes tomorrow we probably will have no alone time so I want to say this now because if I say it in front of Jason or Carter, they'll probably bully me." She begins to tear up. 

Kaylee and I are so close with each other and hang around each other all the time. I know what she was going to say and I started to feel sad now, I guess because it all started to hit me I would be leaving the family I've lived with for 18 years. And I know if my parents say no I can still go, legally, but I don't want to upset my parents by just leaving.

"What is it?" I say looking at Kaylee,

"I'm just wishing you the best over there. I hope that you will be happy and find your second family," She began to tear up, "And although I won't be there everyday to annoy you and show you I love you but I really do love you so much. I don't know what I will do without you in this house mainly full of smelly boys," She'd giggle through the tears, "And I don't want this to change your mind because in my opinion, you should go. It would be so amazing for you with the new people, money, and other opportunities you will be granted." I smile as a tear runs down my cheek. 

"Oh my god, come here!"  I stand up and pull her into a big hug. "Thank you." She pulls away smiling. "Goodnight." She says walking towards my door as I lay back down. "Also..." she says turning towards me again. "If Mom and Dad say no, forget this happened because, ahem, embarrasinggggg." She smiles and I laugh, "Goodnight Dork." I say "Goodnight, Y/n.." Is the last thing I remember hearing before drifting off to sleep.
