So, here we are! They're finally going to New York. Enjoy the chapter! I hope to write another one later today, tomorrow at the latest.

I've never been to America before so forgive me if it's terrible...

*Alex's POV*

There we were, 30,000ft in the air, watching the world pass us by. As I looked down at the landscape below, I couldn't help but to be in awe at the sight before me. It had always amazed me how small everything seemed from way up here. It made me realise just how insignificant I was in the grand scheme of things. I was a singular dot on a canvas, one orchestral note, an infinitesimal piece of something much greater. I watched as town after town passed below us, seeing cars and people move all around. I started to imagine their lives, what these people were doing right that second. I imagined school children waiting patiently for bells to ring, parents stuck in traffic praying to make it in time for the school run. I pictured young couples taking walks on the banks of the river hand-in-hand, mothers holding their babies for the first time. It brought a smile to my face just thinking about it.

I turned to my right to see a sleeping Nate, his head resting on my shoulder. We had ended up sitting together, with Trent and Annie in the seats directly across. We hadn't yet gotten to have our 'talk', but I loved spending time with him nonetheless. Don't get me wrong, the fact that everything was still so up in the air with us really did bother me, but I pushed it aside for the time being; we had plenty of time for that.

"Hello, this is your captain speaking." a voice announced. "We are about to make our descent on New York City. We request that all passengers remain seated until the seat belt signs have been switched off. We also remind you that the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is prohibited during landing and ask that they be switched off. We thank you for flying with Skyway Airlines and hope that you enjoy your stay here in the Big Apple"

The air hostess came around waking all passengers for landing. I gave Nate a nudge, but he never budged. I tried again; nothing. My God, that boy's a deep sleeper.

"Good luck with that one." Trent commented, looking over with a smirk on his face.

I sighed, not even bothering to reply to him. Hmm, what else could I try to wake him? Suddenly, a brainwave hit me and I pinched down on his nose, closing off his air supply. A few seconds passed before he shot up in his seat, his eyes going wide and his mouth flying open in an effort to draw some much-needed oxygen into his lungs. Slapping my hand away from his face, he turned to glare at me.

"What the hell, Alex?" he demanded, still trying to regain his breath.

I couldn't help but chuckle. He looked so adorable when he'd just woken up, and the confused look that was now etched across his face was quite easily one of the funniest things I'd seen.

"Oh, laughing at me, are we?"

I clutched my side, as the tears started rolling down my face, laughter wracking through my body.

"You're going to regret that." he sang, menace apparent in his voice and on his face.

"Oh yeah?" I questioned, raising my eyebrows at him. "And what are you gonna do about it, hotshot?"
