Video is Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift. Kind of thought it suited the chapter, and I just love Taylor Swift so I said why not?!

 Anyways, cue the drama....

*Alex's POV*

I froze where I stood unsure of what to do or say. Nate didn't utter a word either, clearly just as stunned. I looked across the yard as green eyes burned into me, anger apparent on her face.

"You!", she screamed as she lunged herself towards me, "You bitch!"

Pain shot through me as she grabbed a hold of my hair, yanking it with surprising force while the palm of her hand connected violently with my face. My hand flew up to my cheek unconsciously. I winced at the contact and my face contorted in pain. Anger coursed through me and I spun around, my hand clenched into a fist ready to connect it with her orange face. Just as I drew my arm back, a hand caught my elbow. I looked to the side seeing Nate in my field of vision. Of course, he would protect his vindictive bitch of an ex-girlfriend! Or was she his girlfriend again? A frown slipped onto my face at the thought.

I glared at him, struggling to get free of his grip so I could land the punch that I'd been wanting to for so long now. Melissa had always been a bitch. That was the only way to describe her. I had always disliked her, but now, now I hated her guts.

I glared at Nate, willing him to let me go, but he never budged.

"How could you?" Melissa yelled, a look of disgust written clear across her face. "Look at her! She's hideous! All the whores you could've cheated on me with and you couldn't even choose a half-decent looking one!"

Anger burned in my chest, not only at the insults she was throwing my way, but at the confirmation that Nate was back together with that monster. My heart constricted in my chest and I was sure pain flashed across my face. Nate stood there for a moment in silence before he let out a frustrated groan and advanced in Melissa's direction, his expression turning murderous.

"Baby-" she started but Nate cut her off.

"Don't call me that!" he barked. "I am not your baby, Melissa! Being with you was the worst mistake I've ever made, one that I'm never, and I repeat EVER, going to make again. Can you get that much through your thick head?"

"B-but Nate-" she started once again, her usual cocky expression nowhere to be seen.

"Don't!" he warned, "We are finished, Melissa! You hear me? OVER! As for Alex, she is worth ten of you! She is smart, funny, kind, not to mention absolutely beautiful! And most importantly, she's not you!"

I stood there shocked at what he had just said. His gaze met mine and a blush found its way onto my face. Finally I tore my eyes away from him and they fell upon an extremely pissed looking Melissa. She took one last look at me before leaving with a huff.

"Nate, I-" I started only to be cut off by Nate's lips crashing to mine. I had never been kissed with so much passion and when he pulled away I was left feeling breathless and overwhelmed. He rested his forehead against mine, his eyes closed. The only sound was that of our ragged breathing as we struggled to recover from our intense make-out session. After a couple of moments he finally opened his eyes, his gaze raking over my face. He lifted a hand and pushed a lock of my hair behind my ear before resting it on my cheek. Rhythmically he traced his thumb in circles over my cheek. I couldn't help but smile as butterflies danced in my stomach. How could some boy have such an effect on me?
