(Evelyn's POV)
My family was away from home for the week and I was left home alone because this year I was having thanksgiving with my boyfriend Jonah and his family while my family was with other family members. I was getting ready when my phone buzzed. Hey I'm coming over in about 30 minutes to pick you up beautiful I read the text from Jonah. Okay handsome I'm almost ready I texted back. I finished getting ready and headed out the door and sat on the stairs of my porch to wait for Jonah to get here. I was sitting on the porch for about 5 minutes before Jonah pulled up into the driveway.
(Jonah's POV)
After picking Evelyn up we headed to my house. Before I could do anything Evelyn connects her music to my car and starts to jam out to mine and the boys music. I smiled at the sound of Evelyn's beautiful voice. We got back to my house and Evelyn jumped out of the car after I pulled into the driveway and parked the car. She skipped into the house to say hello to everyone. I walked in as she was already in the kitchen helping my parents make food for dinner. I walked into the kitchen and wrapped my arms around Evelyn's waist. She turned around and looked me in the eyes. "Hey I need you for something real quick come here" I say grabbing Evelyn's hand. "Okay what is it" Evelyn says smiling. We both go upstairs to my room and sit here on my bed.
(Evelyn's POV)
Jonah sat me in his bed and I don't know what for. Jonah walks into his closet and comes back out with a small box. He handed me the box and I opened it. It was full of pictures of me and him. "I'm confused what is this for" I asked looking at him with a confused face. "I'm thankful that I have you in my life" Jonah says smiling. "Awww baby well guess what I'm thankful for you too" I say putting the box down on the bed and getting up to hug Jonah. Jonah and I let go of each other when we hear a voice from downstairs. "Foods done" Jonah's parents holler. I look at Jonah and smile. I could tell he knew what I was about to do because he gave me the look of don't you dare. Jonah has a certain spot at the table however I like that spot so we tend to fight over whoever gets it. I push Jonah over playfully make him almost fall over and start running but by the time I got to his doorway he picked me up and put me over his shoulder. We go downstairs and Jonah's parents are laughing at us because they know that I sit in that certain spot.
(Jonah's POV)
After getting downstairs I put Evelyn down and walk over to my chair and sit down. "Ugh your so mean" Evelyn says walking to the chair next to me. "If I was mean do you think I would let you do this" I say smiling and I grab Evelyn's waist and sit her on my lap.
(Evelyn's POV)
I wrap my arm around Jonah's neck and kiss his cheek. I get up and so does Jonah. I sit down in the seat and Jonah push's my chair in and then sits in the seat next to me. Jonah's family and I go around the table holding hands and say one thing that we're thankful for before we get our food and eat. After we all got our food Jonah tapped on my leg with his foot. I look at him and he hands me something. It looks like a letter. I open it up under the table and I read it. After reading the letter I get excited and everyone looks at me confused. Jonah tapped my leg again to tell me to read it out loud. After reading the letter everyone else was excited too. The letter was a thing that Jonah was planning for months for his family and I to do together.
(Jonah's POV) after dinner
Evelyn was helping my parents wash the dishes while I cleaned the table off. I walked over to the sink to Evelyn as she finished washing the last dish and picked her up and brought her to the couch. My little sister Svea put a movie on and my family and Evelyn sat in the living room watching it. After a while Evelyn fell asleep on my lap with her head on my shoulder. I picked Evelyn up and carried her upstairs to my room. I laid her on my bed and covered her up with my blanket. "Goodnight guys I love you Evelyn and I are going to bed" I said after walking back downstairs. I walk back upstairs to my bedroom and close the door and turn off the lights. I crawl into bed next to Evelyn and pull her close to me. She pulls herself closer to me and lays her head on my chest. We fall asleep afterwards.
