Things were going great these past two weeks since Max and I got together officially. I got a call last weekend from Aiden telling me that he asked Nick out, I told him that Max asked me out and we set up the double date for us four. Max and I both made sure we had reliable plans so nothing could be suspected, I said that I was gong to stay with Aiden, wanting to spend time with my brother, it was a half lie. Max said he was going to visit one of his friends from his old school. It was perfect.

So, Friday night we both packed our stuff, Aiden picked me up and Max took his car to follow behind us. An hour later we got to Aiden's apartment building, sadly it only had one room so he reluctantly let Max and I get a hotel room. It was late by the time we got the hotel room (that Aiden insisted on paying for because "we're still in high school and don't have much money to spend), so we got changed into different clothes and Max drove us to the small and cozy restaurant that we were supposed to meet Aiden and Nick at.

We pulled into the parking lot and got out, my eyes scanned the parking lot for my step brother and before long I found him, standing beside a tall and skinny blond, dressed in blue jeans and a button up shirt under a winter jacket that he had one of his hands buried deep into while the other cradled my step brothers hand.

We reached the two and Aiden rushed us inside before we could say our hellos because he was cold. When we were brought to our table we put our coats on the backs of our chairs and made our introductions.

"Hello, you must be Ryan, I've heard quite a bit about you" Nick said, a smooth British accent lacing with his words. I stuttered a moment

"Yeah, yes that's me, and your Nick I hope"

"That's me" he smiled and pulled me into a hug, I laughed

"This is Max, my.., my boyfriend" I watched a grin spread across Max's face at those words, being the first time I've said them out loud.

"Nice to meet you Max" both Aiden and Nick shook Max's hand, although, Aiden already knew who Max was.

We all sat down after the weirdly polite introduction and ordered our drinks. We made small talk, mostly talking about mine and Aiden's weird childhood stories that would just pop up, I threw in a couple of Max's that I knew from when he was in middle school and Nick laughed about pranks he's pulled on his two younger brothers and older sister. We talked about siblings and family for most of the dinner and it was nice getting to know Nick.

"You better be treating Aiden right Nick" I warned

"I'm trying Roy, I really am, I still just can't seem to understand how Aiden would want me"

"Well I can" I rolled my eyes at him "You're an awesome guy, and honestly you're hot so there's that" Max scowled at me and I laughed while kissing his cheek. "You're not so bad yourself" I added, joking to Max, he simply leaned down and kissed me quickly.

"Well, I'd hate to cut this short but Nick's got an early class tomorrow and made sure to scold me for an hour before coming here that he needed to be in bed by ten or he wouldn't be able to get up, so we should be going" Aiden said, Nick nodded along and called over the waiter for the check.

"Awe alright, we're leaving too then" I smiled and we all stood and slipped on our jackets.

Nick payed the bill and we gave hugs around as goodnights then got into our separate cars, Max drove us back to the hotel and we went up. I showered quickly and by the time I came out, wrapped in warm and fuzzy pyjamas Max was sitting on the bed, over the blankets and reading a book. He wasn't wearing a shirt to match with his black sweatpants, his hair swept across his face as his eyes scrunched up while reading. His chest rose and fell rhythmically as he breathed, his back was leaned against the wall behind the bed and his sculpted chest was golden brown, starting to lighten up from the lack of sun.
