Another week had passed and life honestly could not get better, a study group was made for math students, all grades and levels of math were encouraged to join. The group was of course my nerd of a boyfriends idea and I agreed because I needed the extra help. The group met in the library every Tuesday and Wednesday at four pm, right after the last of the sports practices were over, this was for Max mostly, because he had soccer practice until three forty five on Tuesdays and he knew that other sport students needed study group but wouldn't be able to make it.

The group had been going for two days now and that's where Max and I were on a Thursday after school at four thirty. The group consisted of six grade nines, two of them in applied, three in academic one in enriched. Four grade tens, all in academic. Eight grade elevens, five in applied (me being one of them), two in academic and one in enriched. Ten grade twelves, eight of them being in academic, one in applied and one in enriched. You guessed it, Max was the one in enriched. Anyways, the total of people in our large study group was twenty eight, a huge number for a study group, so much it was practically a class.

We spent the Tuesday deciding that we should split up into groups, there was four groups at four different tables. Each group had seven people in it, mine was group three. Group three had me, Max, one other grade eleven from my class, a grade nine applied student and two grade twelve academic students.

The way all of this worked was for the most part we just worked on homework or late work, sometimes we would study using worksheets we'd find online and our notes to practice ones we didn't understand quite yet and we made it pretty clear that we were here to help each other too. Max did a lot of just helping, for the most part he helped someone from our group by scribbling something down on their paper with his pen as they slowly understood what he was saying and his other hand rested on my leg as I worked away, Max helped me a lot too, leaning over my shoulder and pointing out a simple mistake then calmly walking me through it again after I got frustrated.

I was surprised how many people we had in our little study group when we first showed up on Tuesday, on Monday we talked to the principal and librarian to talk about the group, they both thought it was a great idea and the principal even announced on the announcements at lunch that the study group was now a thing, he even put something in the school's social media pages. I was thrilled that so many people were here.

It was coming to a close of five o'clock and everyone was starting to shove their stuff into their bags to talk quietly amongst the people at their group table until hey wanted to leave. I closed my laptop gently and shoved my papers bag into my binder then put them both into my bag before zipping it up and standing as I slung my bag over my shoulder. Max followed me and we waved a  silent goodbye to anyone paying attention to us, we bid goodnight to the librarian as she was putting some books back onto the shelves then shuffled our way out of the school and into he cold parking lot.

A small layer of snow coated the ground as it drifted softly from the sky's tangling lightly in my red hair as I trudged to Max's car, his hand was clasped tightly around mine, sending warmth through my arm, reaching my shoulder. Max and I easily slid into his car and he turned on the heat before pulling out of the parking lot and making his way towards his house. We sat in comfortable silence as I looked out the window at the orange sky and setting sun as snow filtered down in front of my vision, leaving white streaks across the painting like sky. I smiled slightly to myself and watched the snow.

A few minutes later we came to a stop and Max killed the engine, we got out after he insisted on giving me a kiss before going inside where his brother waited for me to join him in playing a game.

"So, what game today?" Chris said as he sat in front of a shelf just below his TV, I laid comfortably on his bed wrapped up in his warm blankets.

"Ummmm, Arc"
