Waking up disoriented why I was sleeping in another room then in a snap, I remembered why I was here. I heave a sigh as I try to get my crap together and thoroughly thought why and how I reacted last night with Max.
Oh God.
I slapped my forehead in my own stupidity. Washing my face and gathering courage that I'll eventually need to ask Max for forgiveness, I was cold to the bones as a shiver runs up my spine. It isn't a grave offense but what made me react that way? I tried to justify my answer and yet, I can't because it was a bit, say, pointless, as I can't find another word to describe my outburst last night.
Donning a bathrobe, I headed to Max's room and knocked lightly only to find him not answering behind the door because he was laughing downstairs. I slowly went down the stairs and saw he was with her in the living room again. What's up with her that she keeps popping out now? If I wasn't actually in love with the guy I would've smiled and tell them myself that they make a good couple but I am so screw it.
I quickly swallowed then tried to ignore that they were actually having a pillow fight and it wasn't until the fridge was harshly closed by me that they noticed me.
"Good morning, uh, what was it? Althea? Ariana? A-"
"What is so good in the morning today? Oh don't answer that, I already know. I saw it with my own eyes. It's Andrea, by the way." I sniggered and she just smirked.
"Good for you then, Andrea. Oh, if you don't mind, can you also cook some bacon for me if you will start cooking for Max?" She requested because she saw that I was holding the tray of eggs.
"Cass-" He tried to stop her but he failed miserably.
"Perhaps, that's the reason why Max here hired you in the first place, right? To be at his beck and call if he says so?" Cassandra said as-a-matter-of-factly and I just shrugged. Max sighed and didn't tell her what I want to hear from his mouth. Well then...
I silently cooked my own breakfast and when I was about to put them on my plate, I heard Martha gasp.
"Breakfast is rea- Oh wait, you only cooked for yourself?" Martha frowned and I heard her belly grumble as if it expresses its own disgust.
"Yes, Mrs. Stefopolous. I was rushing because I have to leave in awhile since I still have some work and papers left unfinished that Mr. Bravucci can't finish himself because he's very preoccupied, as we can see." I said loudly enough for Cassandra and Maximillian to hear.
Martha laughs. "Mrs. Stefopolous? Wow, I sound ancient. And why in the heck are you calling Max with his last name?"
"That's out of respect, silly! After all, Max is the one who signs her paycheck." Cassandra said which was followed by a fake laugh.
"And so?" Martha countered, dangerously approaching the plastic lady. Yes, that's what I'll call Cassandra from time to time now.
"What do you mean by 'and so?'? What I'm saying is that Max is her boss so she better respect him beca-"
"Yeah and Max is also her boyfriend!" Martha literally screamed in the plastic lady's face while the opposite gasped and basically sucked out all of the clean and unpolluted air of the world. Wow, my sarcasm is above the roof right now. I cringe at the 'b' word since I never really liked using it.
"What do you mean? What kind of joke is this, Maria? You got me there!" The plastic lady babbled and let out another fake laugh.
"You mean Martha, right? And I'm not joking. Not a single bit."
"What's happening here?" Lucas said as Sonya trails behind her husband.
"Nothing, Mr. and Mrs. Bravucci. I'm off to go now. Thank you for letting me stay." I said and rushed to my room and quickly packing my things so I can leave this damn hell as soon as possible.
