"Stay out of the way, idiots," Toph yelled at the surrounding demigods. The half-bloods looked at her in annoyance but listened nonetheless. Toph made many jabbing and slicing motions with her arms, cutting the boulders flying their way in half.
"Excuse me! Oop! Pardon Me!" Ty Lee dodged between the crowd of fighters, stopping beside Toph. "I'll go do some Chi-Blocking!"
"I don't care what you do, just make sure the dunderheads behind me get a chance to fight, otherwise their ego will blow their heads off their bodies." Ty Lee nodded, slowly, Chi-Blocking the Dai-Li members, leaving them without their bending.
The demigod battalion slowly defeated the Dai-Li members, stripped of their bending, knocking them unconscious, instead of killing or injuring them, knowing they might be needed to acquire information. Just because Ares had kids, did not mean they were as stupid and war-driven as their father.
On the other side of the camp, Katara, Percy, and Piper tried desperately to coax Aang over to where they stood, so they could snap him out of the avatar state, and hopefully reduce the amount of damage the camp would be inflicted with. So far, it wasn't working.
"Will charm speak work on the baldy?" Piper asked, waving her arms around and trying to catch the blade monk's attention.
"I'm not sure, it may be able to make him stop for a bit, but not to get him out." Katara sighed. "He needs to be taken out by someone he loves, and he hasn't really developed any affection for you two."
"Yeah," Percy smirked at Katara. "He loves you."
"Stop being so immature. You love Annabeth. You literally yeeted yourself off a cliff for her." Piper raised her eyebrows at the water boy. Percy glared at the girl.
"Percy, you keep him distracted, annoy him. Use your water powers or whatever. I'll bring me and Piper closer to him."
"Are you going to have me hold my breath underwater because that is not something I can do." Piper stepped away from the water.
"No, we'll be sneaking up on him, with an air bubble under the water."
"Okay, good. Gods, I thought I'd die or something."
"Let's go." Katara gestured for Piper to come with her. "Follow right behind me, put your hands on my shoulders if you need to." Piper nodded. As they entered the water, Katara moved her hands in a circular motion, making sure to keep the water around them, and concentrating on it not crashing down on them. Piper kept silent, knowing full well that if she talked, she might drown.
"I want you to look around, see if you can find any large motion around us." Piper nodded. She kept her eyes peeled, looking around for any large shadows. A giant foot like a black splotch passed them.
"Found it." Katara nodded, turning in the direction of the shadow, using the water to move them at fast speeds. Piper had trouble keeping up, and eventually, let her arms rest on the darker-skinned girl's shoulders. She shrieked as she felt herself going up, looking down at the water below her, expecting to fall down at any moment. She hated being surrounded by water, especially after that experience with those Nymphs.
"Hurry up." Piper gritted her teeth, clutching onto Katara's shoulders tighter. Katara nodded, raising her hands up one last time before they saw a bald 12 year old.
"Stop," Piper commanded, looking straight at the boy. "Stop your bending." Aang turned towards her, his glowing eyes seemingly staring into her soul. She shivered. Do not show weakness. That won't help with your charm speak.
Aang's eyes shifted over to Katara. "Hi, Aang." Katara ran over to Aang, hugging him. Aang did nothing, instead focused his eyes back on the camp. Piper frantically looked around at the air bubble surrounding them, looking at camp through the thin sheet of water.
"Aang," Katara whispered, using her finger to make Aang face her again. "Stop. I'm right here. Demigods are not your enemy."
"I need to get to Katara," Aang said. Piper found it creepy how Aang sounded, with the past avatars speaking with him.
"I'm right here. I'm Katara."
Tears prickled in Aang's eyes. "Katara?"
"I'm right here Aang." The glowing reduced in Aang's eyes, his arrows returning back to his normal color of blue as Katara kissed him.
Wait, so she wasn't kidding? Piper squinted at the odd couple. Weird.
Piper glanced outside, seeing the many faces, staring straight at where she stood, in the bubble. Then, she realized the whole camp was staring straight at them, more specifically where Aang and Katara were kissing. Her mouth made an o shape, as she glanced at the couple. Looks like the news spread.
