Festus = Happy, Unless Annabeth Turns Up

With the camp on full alert, it was a guarantee that you couldn't pass camp boundaries without the whole camp being alerted. The Hephaestus cabin had set traps up around the perimeter of the camp, and they had stationed demigods right behind them, in shifts. At least 50 campers had to be standing in different spots around the perimeter, Chiron's orders.

The centaur had already called upon his cousins, the Party Ponies. They trotted around, circling the camp, having the time of their lives shooting at each other, while also keeping a lookout, searching for any incoming enemies. They only had 2 rules when staying at camp:

1. No wrecking any buildings (or anything for that matter)

2. Do not injure anyone or anything, unless it is an incoming monster or enemy

They had thought this was a perfect opportunity since their lives had been a little boring lately, with no upcoming wars circling about.

This, however, did not mean the campers were feeling comfortable. Campers with previous experiences with the Party Ponies knew they were hardcore partiers and were a little too wild, so they kept a respectable distance.

The new campers, however, found them absolutely delightful. They would ask them multiple questions, and shyly offer to play with them. The ponies loved the attention, and often let the tiny children ride on them, making sure not to injure them. They knew how angry Chiron could get, and were not hoping to witness that again.

Annabeth, however, was not in a good mood. At. All.

After finding out that her old crush had now come back from the dead, not as Luke, but as Kronos, was a serious mood killer.  Whenever people ran into her, they would scurry out of the way, afraid of her wrath. The only time people felt at ease with her around, is if Percy was with her. At least then she would calm down.

Again, people marveled at how connected the two were.

Meanwhile, Aang rested, completely healed, the only damage was the permanent place Azula had taken up in his mind. He simply couldn't get out the horrible things she had done to him. Whenever people would ask, he would brush them off, saying, "It wasn't scary, or physical. After the first day, she just sort of gave up trying to beat me into the Avatar State. After that, it was a whole different kind of torture." And left it at that.

Katara would often look at him with worry in her eyes, repeating the same question over and over again in her head. Should I be worried? But, she never asked it, knowing it would make the bald monk uncomfortable. She instead focused her energy on helping him. He still found it a little hard to walk, so Katara brought him food, making sure she didn't have any meat items on the plate, whatsoever.

Mai was never seen leaving Ty Lee's side. She seemed to be trying to protect her friend, denying it whenever people asked. Ty Lee adored it. She knew the reason why Mai was acting like that, but pushed it out of her mind, as she didn't like to think of Azula and chose to believe Mai was opening up to her.

The majority of the seven were off helping fortify the camp's safety, but Leo was off tinkering with Festus. He had the idea that could maybe help them win the war, but it was a weird concept, that even he didn't quite understand. It revolved around what he did to defeat Gaea, except this time, he wasn't planning on dying. But, he had to get some celestial bronze from the forge, having completely run out. He lugged Festus behind him as a suitcase, not wanting to leave him alone, and, Festus did need the rest.

He whistled as he walked, a spring in his steps, despite the tense attitude around him. He passed Annabeth, who didn't seem to be accompanied by Percy, brooding as she opened a book.

"Hey! No need to be so down in the dumps!" Leo called out.

Annabeth's head snapped towards him, her gray eyes glaring at him. He shivered. That blonde could really freak him out. But he persisted.

"Remember, Festus equals happy in Latin! And Festus is right here, so think Latin!" Leo grinned at her.

"I swear, if you don't shut up right now, I will-" Annabeth was cut off by Percy, who had noticed the exchange of words, and quickly rushed in to drag Annabeth away. He offered Leo a sincere smile, as he lead a mad Annabeth away.

"Sheesh!" Leo turned the other way, patting Festus, the suitcase beside him, before beginning to walk to the Forgery again.
