Julie smiled awkwardly, still stood on the stage as the boys appeared back where they'd been before.
"Hey, where'd the rest of the band go?" A boy asked, jogging onto the stage.
"Wait, were those holograms?" A girl, the one Reggie had winked at, questioned.
"Uh, yes!" Julie said. "Yes, they were holograms." She chuckled slightly. "Um, I plugged it into the ceiling projector before the show. I'd explain it, but it involves algorithms and science stuff."
The crowd didn't question it, instead they just clapped and cheered.
"That's wild." Luke stated. "They could see us when we were playing, but not when the music ended."
"We should double check!" Reggie said, hopping up onto the stage and dancing slightly in front of the crowd. "Yeah, I don't..." He hopped back down. "I don't think they can see us."
"I wish I couldn't see you." Alex muttered.
"For once, I agree with Alex." Cory said, a grin on his face. Reggie looked at him, ready to complain until he saw the guitarists smile. A true, genuine Cory Winchester smile was rare to see, and this was one of those.
"Ok, people, show's over." The principal told the crowd. "Let's get back to class, please."
The crowd began to disperse, Carrie and the girl Reggie had winked at stood talking nearby.
"What was that? 'Were those holograms'?" Carrie questioned.
"I'm sorry." The girl said.
"Hey there." Reggie said. "Hi. Reggie."
"What even was that?" Carrie continued. "What was that?" The two began to leave, Reggie following.
"Could I maybe call you some time?" He asked. "What's your number?"
"Just when I though he couldn't get any dumber." Cory muttered, staring at the bassist.
"Miss Harrison, I am so sorry for not asking for permission." Julie told the teacher who'd been stood with the principal. "I just wanted to show you I belong here."
"As amazing as that was, your spot's already been filled by another student." Miss Harrison told her. She pointed to a tiny boy, who decided it'd be a good idea to roll a large instrument down the stairs of the stage.
"Come one, that thing is way too big for him!" Julie argued.
"He'll grow into it." Miss Harrison offered, though she didn't sound all that sure about it. "I wish that I could help you, but my hands are tied."
"Mine aren't." Another voice said. It was the principal. "And as much as I didn't approve of this little stunt that you pulled, I will not go down in history as the principal who kicked Julie Molina out of the music program."
"Thank you!" Julie grinned.
"But... when you win your first Grammy, I want to be thanked." The principal told her.
"Definitely." Julie nodded.
"Thank you." Miss Harrison told the principal, who walked away. "Congratulations!" She said, pulling Julie into a hug. "Welcome back!" She then walked away, and Luke grabbed Cory, the two teleporting away.
Luke had a dumb idea. So now they were stood in the empty cafeteria, both Reggie and Alex holding Luke up whilst Cory stood nearby, waiting to laugh at them falling or something.
So as Julie rounded the corner, the three boys shouted her name ending in her screaming.
"You!" She shouted. "Stop doing that!" Luke hopped down, grinning. "I'm serious."
