Well... Hello there Death

chapter one

“Arianna! Arianna! Wake up!” My father shook me awake early morning Saturday.

I smiled at him and sat up. “I am awake. I will be down to help with the party in a few minutes.”

Every couple of months the pack comes together and has a huge party just to hang out. It is always at our house since my father is the Alpha. I help with all the planning and everything because I will the next Alpha.  I got dressed and headed downstairs. I directed some of the wolves who had a bunch of food to the kitchen.

I bounced into my father’s office and grinned. “Hey Dad. What are you doing?”

“Going over some stuff from the Bloodlust pack. Is everything for the party going well?” He wrote on the paperwork he had.

“It’s going great.” I smiled

Hours later the party was in full swing. The smell of the meat from the grill was radiating and everyone was laughing and talking. I’m walking around making sure everyone had everything they needed. I grinned as I shooed the pups away from the forest line. I just watched the clearing where everyone was.

My dad and his Beta where by the grill laughing with the other wolves that where waiting for food. I heard something behind me and something felt off. I looked over to Rachel who is in charge of watching the pups. I motioned her to take the pups.

“Something is up take the pups NOW.” I ordered her.

She looked frightened and gathered them and led them to their parents and whispered to them. A shot rang out and a wolf by my father fell down dead. I could tell it hit him in the heart. A vicious growl came from behind me in the same instant that the wolf fell. I turned as wolves came through the wood lines and growled. My Alpha power radiating out making some of the wolves back off. A huge grey and black wolf flew through the air and tackled me to the floor. I had just enough time to roll with the tackle and fling him off with my legs.

In those few seconds our pack sprang into action. Wolves rushed the younger ones away to a safe place. Our fighters sprang toward me and the wolves changing in midair. My father snarled at the wolf that has attacked me.  The wolf that attacked me came after me again. The wolves in our pack won’t be here in time to stop him but I am one of the best fighters. I snarled and dodged his blows. I couldn’t change yet it would leave me open for too long so I took my knife out of my boot when I rolled away from another blow. My pack was surrounding me now attacking the other wolves that were invading us. Shots where raining down on us and we were trying to dodge them. I shoved my knife into the wolfs throat as he attacked me again.

My father flung threw the air above me and attacked a wolf that was trying to attack me from behind.

“Run! Go to the safe house and led those wolves to safety. We have this.” He mind linked me.

“Dad NO I can fight! Let me help!” I begged him.

“NO! Our pack needs you to lead them to safety. I can’t be there and you can! GO NOW!” He snarled

I whimpered and ran. I trip and fall in the forest. Shit. I cant stop running. I stand up as I hear the battle behind me coming closer. My whole body hurts and I am sure I am bleeding in a few places. I hear a sound behind me and I throw a glance behind me as I turn back around I am staring at the barrel of a gun.

Fuck

Its the hunter.

He smirkes at me and pulls the trigger. Everything seems to slow down as I see the bullet coming towards me. Even with my speed that will be a fatal blow to me. Then suddenly the bullet stops moving.

Everything is quiet and no one is moving. What the hell is going on?

"Well little wolf you have gotten yourself into some trouble." A voice speaks from arround me. I look around to see where it was.

"Who are you? Show yourself!" I snarled

"Calm down little wolf. I am here to help." He said in the darkness.

"Help how? Who are you?" I glare into the darkness.

"Well I did freeze the guy going to shoot you didnt I?" He pointed out.

I bit my lip and looked around for him again.

"And to who I am... Well dear I am Death." I could hear him smirk.

"Well.... Hello there Death." I say not sure what else to do.

He stepped out into the light and I could finally see him. He had tattoos up his arms and black hair. It swooped into his face. His eyes were black and his face held a smirk. He was the most sexiest thing I have ever seen. My wolf cried out MATE.

He jerked his head up and stared at me.

"What did you just say wolf?"
