The rest of the day went by in a blur. The Alpha of the Midstar Pack finally arrived and this huge dinner party was underway. I am standing by my father as he makes idle chit chat to the other alphas. Red nudged me and smiled at me. I blush and smile back but it fades as I see Death glaring at me from across the room.
My father notices my glare and looked over to Death. "Is he a part of either of y'alls pack?" He asked suddenly.
I tensed up as they told him no. "Arianna knows him though. She was with him earlier." Red said confused and a little angry.
I glanced at him confused than looked at my father. "I thought I already talked to you about the new wolf papa. I'm sorry. He isn't a threat though."
My father still glared at me. "He lost his parents in a rogue attack in his old pack. He couldn't stay there. It reminded him of them. So he asked to join our Pack." I lied easily.
"and you said yes? Without talking to me?" He growled angry.
I gulped and nodded. "I'm sorry daddy. I meant to talk to you. I swear just been busy."
My father glared at me frowning. "I'm just going to check on him." I smiled and dodged my way through them and headed towards Death.
"Can you be a little more pleasant please? My father is looking over here." I hissed at him.
He smiled at me which made his face light up. His voice dripped with venom. "So is your boyfriend. Why are they staring at me?"
"Because I told them you are a new wolf in our pack. They are studying you" I sighed.
"Lovely. Now I'll have to play nice to help you." He spat out.
"If you would have just stayed out of sight I have had to LIE! NOW excuse me I have to check on things." I sneered at him.
I walked to the kitchen in a huff. He makes me so ANGRY but at the same time I want him. My thought Are on him still as I check with everyone making sure everything is under control. I felt a hand on me and I looked to see who it was.
Red was looking at me concerned. "Are you alright.?"
"Yes I'm fine. Just checking on things." I smiled at him.
He nodded and led me to an empty room. He shut the door and locked it and turned to me.
