Even Heroes Need Saved.

Chapter 7.

Roxanne had a difficult time with her training at first but she picked everything up extremely fast much to Minion's surprise. Then again, love works in mysterious ways. Roxanne dodged almost every obstacle in the course now and she was learning all the robots controls by heart, from Brainbots to the robot Minion used at the opening of the Megamind museum. Eventually the Brainbots warmed up to their "mommy" and even aided her when she was about to lose an obstacle. Minion was so proud of her. Megamind really chose the perfect woman. Guess it was the witty banter they had when Megamind was a villain. Minion watched Roxanne and then told her she could take a break but Roxanne for the fifth time told him that Megamind had no breaks so why should she? Although she had a point the last four times, Minion put a stop to it so she could at least rest and eat before doing more exercises later. It took about an hour but Roxanne was eventually persuaded.

Roxanne went to Megaminds room and laid on his bed. She smelt his Jean Paul Gaultier Pour Homme cologne, giving her some comfort. It didn't help enough to make her think he was there for real. The thought brought tears to her eyes. She missed him and to see him brutally tortured and bleeding was terrifying. He looked like he was in absolute pain and she couldn't even imagine the embarrassment he must've felt when he was on camera for the whole city to see. And his eyes. Once they were full of daring excitement but now were dull and dark. He could fake it but to the trained eye people could see he was starting to give up. He was physically and mentally in pain..... and she couldn't even comfort him and let him know it was okay. That this wasn't his fault. Roxanne started crying and eventually fell asleep from exhaustion.

Minion wasn't doing so hot either. Although Roxanne was there, the backup lair felt empty without Megamind. His best friend was captured by a cameraman-turned-psychopath villain who is doing god knows what to him. He knew Megamind was strong but he also could tell when he was falling apart. That was what happened on the television today. But he kept his head high for Megaminds sake like Megamind was fighting to keep Metro Citys hopes up, he should not lose hope in getting his best friend back. He went to the computers to try snd trace Tightens trail by any hints or street cameras he could use to track the villains movements.

The Warden laid in the hospital. He saw the broadcast and his heart sunk. Although Megamind did bad things and was now doing some good, he felt like Megamind was the son he never hand. He had two adult daughters but never a son. He remembered every birthday Megamind had and how some of the inmates chipped in to buy supplies to give Megamind a cake and at least one present. Sure the prisoners were under supervision as they did this but he still was impressed in the prisoners attempts to make Megamind have the best childhood he could despite living in a prison. The Warden wanted to help Megamind more than ever now. Once he was out of the hospital, he was going to get as much back-up as he could to get Megamind free..... Maybe even make it up to Megamind for not taking him home with him the day he arrived.

Music Man was strumming his guitar sadly. He remembered the fights Megamind and him would have back when he was Metro Man. All the times Megamind terrorized the city, he never tried to harm anyone physically. He might've kidnapped Roxy multiple times but not once did he ever injure her. That is why Music Man trusted Megamind to be the good guy after his "death". Because Megamind was misguided, misunderstood, and alone. But now Tighten was back and he couldn't help without risking who he was to people. He wished he could help but he was unsure how to. He then remembered he had super speed so he could look for clues without anyone knowing. Perhaps even find where Megamind was being kept. Sure he wasn't Metro City's hero anymore but that didn't mean he couldn't use his powers once and a while. Why didn't he think of it before? Music Man sped off and in less than a second, he was back. He found where Megamind was and Megaminds allies would not like it. But he also sped to the time when Megamind was fighting Tighten. The ex-villain looked enraged and the rim of his eyes were red. His teeth were clenched and his fist actually made severe impact on Tighen's face. Music Man NEVER seen Megamind do this before. It was like adrenaline was up to level 50. Did Megamind have powers or was Music Mans eyes playing tricks on him? There was only one person who knew Megamind by the back of their hand and he was going to get answers from them.
