Even Heroes Need Saved.

Chapter 13.

Two months later....

A lot happened over the last two months. Minion and Roxanne were hailed as heroes to the public so Minion got more fans and channel 8 was listed as the number one channel listed in Metro Citys top ten due to Roxannes involvement in Megaminds rescue. Yin was offered a promotion to deputy as he also was hailed as a hero but he turned it down. Yin liked his job as a detective and wanted to move up the ranks normally. Yin also got a supersuit given to him by Megamind as a thank you for keeping Minion and Roxanne safe during the battle with Hal. The public even gave Yin a superhero name when he was off police work: Mind Blast. The name was a reference for each time a person saw he has powers for the first time, their minds were blown. Mentally of course. No one wanted their heads to literally explode.

Megamind was making a fast recovery but he still had some struggles. He got very defensive when a person tried to flirt with Roxanne due to the fear that they will try to force Roxanne to break off the engagement against her will, he would not get into a bath without panicking that he would drown (he was fine with showers), and he would go apeshit and attack any criminal who pointed a knife at him. He was getting better from those issues too as he was seeing a therapist. He was diagnosed with PTSD. Megamind was also able to harness his powers correctly and be more aware of them. He couldn't get too mad, stressed, or turned on (by Roxanne only *wink, wink*) or he would go off/be rough.

Everyone who knew Megamind was excited for the next day as tomorrow was Megaminds wedding day. Minion was his best man and Yin was one of the groomsmen. It was also decided that Music Man would play at their wedding as he got better at singing. That part was Roxannes idea. The Warden also signed adoption papers, making Megamind legally his son. He adopted Minion as well so not only were Megamind, Minion, and Yin close friends, but they were also family. Now Megamind had a last name for when he married Roxanne and a mother (the Wardens wife) to dance with at his wedding. He was glad to call Minion his brother (they fought like brothers anyway) and Yin his cousin. And to Wardens shock, Megamind got along with his daughters and even acted like a brother to them.

Of course there was a catch to all the great things happening in Megaminds life: Night terrors. Ever since he was rescued from his capture, Megamind would have extreme nightmares of being back in that godawful place. Ever since Roxanne moved in with Megamind, she was able to be there when he woke up from them. Other times he woke up on his own. Speaking of which, Megamind just woke up from another night terror about an hour ago. He had his dehydrator gun under his pillow so he took it out from it's hiding place, sat up, and pointed it in front of him. Megamind had a cold sweat running down his back and he was slightly shaking. Roxanne sat up when she heard his heavy breathing and put a hand on his shoulder gently.

"Another one?" Roxanne asked as she helped Megamind lay back down. Megamind nodded, holding his dehydrator gun in a death grip. Roxanne was able to make him let go of it and she put it back under his pillow. "How do you do it? I kidnapped you countless times and yet you have no nightmares. None. How did you get over it?" Megamind asked. Roxanne sighed. "I never got nightmares because you never hurt me when you were a villain. You just tied me up and showed me a scary weapon. You never used them on me. You were physically injured. I guess that is the difference between us." Roxanne said. Megamind nodded. "If I ever hurt you the times I kidnapped you....... I am so sorry." Megamind said and hugged Roxanne. She hugged back. "I never got hurt. Never. In fact, there were times where my days were so bad I wanted captured." Roxanne saud. Megamind chuckled. "Maybe I should kidnap you tomorrow night, my temptress." Roxanne laughed and kissed Megamind, who returned the kiss. "Game on. Now go to sleep or I'll beat you with a pillow." Roxanne said playfully. Megamind grinned evilly and whacked her with a pillow. He then jumped out of the bed and ran as Roxanne chased him with a pillow. Yes, this was going to be a wonderful marriage indeed, especially with a girl like Roxanne.
