Early 1945
Hydra Base
After months of destroying base after base, Captain America and his Howling Commandos have finally made Johann Schmidt admit they could be defeated.
Schmidt and Zola stood on the wreckage of their base, complet annoyed. "You are failing! We are close to an offensive network that will shake the planet. And yet we are continually delayed, because you cannot outwit a simpleton with a shield!" Schmidt exclaimed.
"This is hardly my area of expertise. I...I merely develop the weapons. I...I cannot fire them," Zola said.
"Finish your mission, Doctor. Before the American finishes his," Schmidt said, but then two guards arrived with the facility manager.
"Sir!" one of the guards exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, Herr Schmidt. We fought to the last man," the Facility Manager said.
"Evidently not," Schmidt before he shot him, and killed him. "If he is going to take everything from me, I will take everything from him." He then walked off with Zola following him.
Austrian Apes
On a snow-covered mountain, the Howling Commandos were prepared to zipline onto the train. "Remember when I made you ride the Cyclone at Coney Island?" Bucky asked as he looked at the zipline nervously.
"Yeah, and I threw up?" Steve said.
"This isn't payback, is it?" Bucky asked.
"Now why would I do that?" Steve asked with a smile, then Jones walked up to them.
"We were right. Dr. Zola's on the train. Hydra dispatcher permitted him to open up the throttle. Wherever he's going, they must need him bad," Jones said.
"Let's get going because they're moving like the devil," James said.
"We only got about a 10-second window. You miss that window, we're bugs on a windshield," Steve said before he, Bucky, and Jones got hooked up to the zipline.
"Better get moving, bugs!" Dugan exclaimed.
"Maintenant!" Dernier exclaimed.
Now!
Steve, Bucky, and Jones dropped hard onto the slick roof of the hydra train, and they all looked at each other in relief.

In the Hydra Train, Steve kicked open the back door and he and Bucky rushed in, weapons ready, only to find nothing. They looked at each other before Steve headed for the next car.

In the middle car, Bucky and Steve banged into the next car and found it empty. "I thought they were supposed to be hauling something," Bucky said as Steve unhooked his shield.
"They were," Steve said. He then yanked open the next connecting door, stepping into another darkened car. Steve and Bucky crept forward then-
WHAM!
A steel plate dropped over the door, sealing them in. The lights brightened, revealing a massive Hydra trooper. Six and a half feet tall and heavily armored, both of his arms sport huge cannons. Steve and Bucky opened fire, but their machine-gun bullets pinged uselessly off the trooper's armor. The trooper aimed at Steve and-
