Chapter 9 : Whispers From The Flowers

The next room is filled with echo flowers and sparkling ceiling. The five of them stood in amazement of how beautiful the sight are. "I...I doubt the underground actually has star, but...this is beautiful." Sugawara muttered. Nishinoya eyes sparkled along with it "Amazing!!!!" He shouted. They finally get their attention back at their surrounding. "Wishing Room." Kageyama read the sign. Hinata touches the flower on his left.

"A long time ago, monsters would whisper their wishes to the stars in the sky. If you hoped with all your hearts, your wish will come true. Now, all we have are these sparkling stones on the ceiling..."

"So, these aren't real stars? I'm a bit disappointed, but...these are cooler!!!" Tanaka clench his fist. Nishinoya huffed in agreement "Damn right, Ryuu!!!" Sugawara smiled at the two then turn his attention to his right.

"Thousands of people wishing together can't be wrong! The king will prove that."

"Thousands? So...there are more monsters down here..." Kageyama mumbled. "Hey, guys! I found something on this telescope!!" Hinata called. They rushed to him. Tanaka looked at the telescope "Ooh!! There's a note saying Check Wall there!" Tanaka chirped and pointed at the northern wall. Kageyama walked to the pointed direction. He touched the wall, and a passage appear, startling him. Nishinoya jumped up and down. "THIS IS SO COOL!!!" He shouted in excitement. Sugawara smacked his back "Quiet. You're being too loud, y'know." Nishinoya laughed nervously and apologized.

"Woah...I don't understand any of this!" Tanaka observed the writing. "Must be ancient kind of writing." Kageyama stated. Sugawara looks around "Charaaaa!!! Come and help us!!!" He half-shouted. But nobody came. Sugawara grumbled. Hinata tapped his chin "well, uh, I think I can kinda read it. Even though maybe it's kind of made up??" Nishinoya give him a thumbs up of approval "Go ahead, Shouyou!! Tell us!! Be smart!" Hinata nodded.

"The war of Humans and Monsters. Why did the Humans attack? Indeed, it seemed they had nothing to fear. Humans are unbelievably strong. It would take the SOUL of every Monster...just to equal the power of a single human SOUL. But humans have one weakness. Ironically, it is the strength of their SOUL. Its power allow it to persist outside the human body, even after death. If a monster defeats a human, they can take its SOUL. A monster with human SOUL...A horrible beast with unfathomable power."

They shivered at the picture. "Oh geez, that looks very unsettling. What is this creature??" Tanaka commented at the illustration. The creature have two horns, wings and there was a single Soul in its chest. "Its shape looks like the symbol in the RUINS." Kageyama pointed out. "You're right. And that Soul...maybe it's one of the fallen humans Soul??" Nishinoya pointed at the Soul. "Well, maybe we will find more about it in the future!" Sugawara smiled. "Adventure waits in front of us!! We're gonna find out more!!!" Hinata exclaimed. All of them hopped onto the boat.

After they arrived at the other side, the boat floated back to the place they came from, earning groan from the group. They walked in the long hallway. Suddenly, they feel the atmosphere getting more and more pressuring. They hear a clank until a spear was thrown in  front of them. A quick whisper of "uh oh" was said by them before running with all their speed. Their life surely depend on it.

*RUN IS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND AS THEY AVOID SPEARS!!!*

"AAAAHHH!!! MY HP IS LOW!! MY HP IS LOW!!!" Nishinoya shouted. Sugawara slow down on his pace, pick him up, and run faster. "CURSE, CURSE, CURSE!!!" Tanaka ducked. Kageyama panicked and avoided the spear from hitting his Soul. They saw a hiding place just like earlier. "EVERYONE, SHUT UP!!" Sugawara yelled. They scrambled into the bush. Undyne let out a growl and walked to the grasses. Hinata held his breath. Undyne was standing to his right very closely. When she feel a movement in front of her, She quickly grabs it. She pick it up and showed Monster Kid. Undyne let go of them and walked away. After feeling like They're safe, they get out of their hiding spot. They sighed in relief. Monster Kid run out from it too. "Yo, did you see that?! Undyne...just...TOUCHED ME! I'm never washing my face ever again...! Man, are you guys unlucky. If only you were standing a LITTLE BIT to the right...! Yo, don't worry, we'll see her again!!" The small monster run and fall down on their face. Sugawara gasp and helped them. "Be careful." He whispered. Monster Kid thanked him and continue running forward.
