*Chapter Four*

*Maggie's POV*

Sunday morning came and I didn't even want to get out of bed. I could nearly keep my eyes opened but my stomach was growling. I stood up and walked to the bathroom to wash my face. I put on some clothes and pulled my hair up.

Lucas-"Morning Mags"

Maggie-"Hi."

Lucas-"Are you going down to breakfast?"

Maggie-"Not right now."

Lucas-"Okay will I see you later?"

Maggie-"I don't know, I gotta go." I grabbed a book from my bag and walked out.

Lucas-"Okay."

*Authors POV*

Maggie walked out and Lucas sighed deeply, plopping his body onto his bed. He knew she was upset with him and he didn't know what to do.

*Jeannette's POV*

Jeannette-"Good morning Maggie, are you feeling any better?"

Maggie-"Not really." She slumped down onto my bed. "This totally sucks...Why did he have to kiss me like that? It was meant to be magical and romantic. Not while I'm in my pajamas with acne cream on my face. Why did it have to be spontaneous, and right after he just kissed someone else."

Jeannette-"I know I'm so sorry it was like that."

Maggie-"Let's just go to breakfast."

Jeannette-"Alright...I guess they aren't getting up." We looked to Abi and Lorelai.

Amelia-"Morning"

Maggie-"Hey Mia"

Amelia-"I'm starving."

Jeannette-"Yeah me too let's go." We walked down to breakfast and sat next to James and Wyatt. Lucas was there and Maggie sat as far away from him as possible. He rolled his eyes.

Wyatt-"Last night was fun you guys."

Jeannette-"Yeah I agree, but I'm glad we're starting a study group because I've got loads of homework already."

James-"Yeah it's ridiculous"

Jeannette-"Have you finished the work Mags?" Her nose was stuck in a book. "Mags??"

Maggie-"Hm?" She wasn't even listening.

Jeannette-"Hello..?"

Maggie-"Sorry what?"

Jeannette-"You alright babes? What are you reading?"

Maggie-"I don't know really, I've finished it a while ago but I seem to keep flipping through its pages."

Jeannette-"Can I see it?"

Maggie-"Yeah sure" She handed it to me and I read the title out loud.

Jeannette-"What's it about."

Maggie-"It's about a girl who's been locked in time somewhere or something. It's really confusing and there are so many riddles."

Jeannette-"It's seems to be a diary..what are all these underlined things for?"

Maggie-"I have no idea. But you can have it if you like."

Jeannette-"Okay thanks." I scanned its pages when someone snatched it from my hands.

Gilbert-"What's this Weasley? Your diary?"

Jeannette-"No, and if it was that's none of your business." I ripped it back and he stepped closer to me.

Gilbert-"You shouldn't leave personal things out for people to see then should you?"

*Gilbert's POV*

I stood over her and watched her fight for words. I smirked and backed away.

Gilbert-"Right then, see you later."

*Back to Jeannette's POV*

Jeannette-"I literally can't stand him."

James-"Honestly who does? Wyatt you used to be friends with him what happened."

Wyatt-"Oh you know, I just grew up and he didn't." He looked at me knowing I knew that sounded suspicious. He knew I had heard his conversation with his sister.

Maggie-"Jen let's go to the courtyard."

Jeannette-"Alright"

-at the courtyard-

Jeannette-"Do you think you're gonna make up with Lucas?"

Maggie-"I don't know Jen he really upset me. I didn't expect for that to happen like that."

Jeannette-"Yeah I know."

Maggie-"Who's that?"

Jeannette-"Who?"

Maggie-"Just there." She pointed across the courtyard.

Jeannette-"I don't see anyone.."

Maggie-"Huh..maybe they left but it looked like they were watching us."

Jeannette-"How strange. Quidditch try outs start next month. Do you think you'll come and try? I know that Mia is."

Maggie-"No I'm more of a watcher than a player."

Jeannette-"Understandable."

Maggie-"I'm going to shower I'll see you for lunch?"

Jeannette-"Yeah I'll see you. Don't think to much okay?"

Maggie-"I'll try."

I sat down under a tree and opened the diary. It looked very old..lots of things where underlined and circled.

'For in the woodland, there lies the tree.'

Jeannette-"What? What tree? What does this even mean?" I looked at the underlined words:
Walk until the water path ends, two rights, four lefts, eight steps straight..this is all so confusing. But why not try and figure it out. Obviously it's talking about the forbidden forest..and a small creek maybe. I walked into the woods and began to follow the clues. When I got there a huge tree was standing before me, with a large hole inside.

Jeannette-"What?" I put together more underlined words. This was all I could find to make sense.
'Cavity will ignite with presence of the small stone and the worthy witch' But what stone. I picked up random rocks and held it up to the hole trying to make something happen but nothing did.. I heard a loud sound in the bushes and quickly looked but no one was there. I thought I heard footsteps but I still didn't see anything. I looked up and it was nearly dark out.

Jeannette-"I had missed lunch..and dinner at this point." When I got back to castle Maggie was no where around. She must have gone to sleep. I got to my room and changed into my pajamas when I heard talking in the common room.
