The next morning I woke up, and got ready to head to Malibu. I took a shower, and once I got out I dried my hair. I then got dressed, and then curled my hair and did my makeup. I felt like everything was going too good for me. I just knew something bad had to be coming because nothing good ever lasts long for me.

After I finished, I walked back into my and jaden's  room and he was sitting up in bed against the headboard looking at his phone. I smiled just looking at him, "Good morning loser."

He looked up at me and smiled.

I giggled, "What?"

He got up and walked over to me wrapping his arms around my waist, "You're just so hot."

I smiled feeling myself blush, "Really?"

He nodded, "Yes. Very."

I giggled and shook my head, "Well I gotta get going, wanna meet later for dinner?"

He leaned down to press a kiss on my lips, then said, "Sounds like a plan. Just text me when you're done."

I smiled and nodded, then kissed him one more time before going outside and getting in my car and heading to Malibu.

Once I got there, I walked in to find my manager, Penelope talking to some guy. I couldn't tell who it was because his back was facing me. I waved at Penelope and she smiled and waved me over, "Come over here."

The man turned to look, and when I saw who it was my jaw dropped. It was the one and only Parker McCollum. I couldn't believe my eyes. I walked over to where they were standing.

Penelope smiled, "Ellie this is Parker. Parker this is Ellie." She motioned between us.

He smiled and reached his hand out to me, "Nice to meet you, Ellie."

I smiled, shaking his hand, "Nice to meet you too."

We both didn't pull our hands away right away, and our eyes were locked.

Penelope interrupted us causing us to snap back into reality. I suddenly felt really guilty for some strange reason. Penelope spoke, "So we have some business to talk."

We both followed her into a room where another man, that I assumed was Parker's manager, was sat at a desk. He motioned for us to sit, "Please all sit."

We all sat, I was confused about what was going on. I looked at Parker and he looked at me with the same confused face that I had.

Penelope spoke first, "So you both are growing country singers, and we want to get more attention to you guys. We thought it would be a good idea to collab on a song together, but also fake date to promote the song."

Parker spoke before me, "Are you serious?"

He sounded pissed, and I was furious as well. Penelope told me that I would be the one growing my career. "Penelope, you know I can't do this. I'm with Jaden."

She shrugged, "Well, you need to break up with him. This is your career we are talking about sweetie. He's not going to help your career. It's about time you get rid of him anyways."

I couldn't believe her. She had never had a problem with me dating Jaden before.

I shook my head, "You can't make me break up with him."

Parker had walked over to the corner with his manager and it seemed that he was just as mad about this as I was.

Penelope spoke, "Oh really? Well you do realize, that in the contract that you signed that you agreed to this type of stuff right?"

I didn't remember there being anything about publicity stunts in the contract. I shook my head, "No." I looked down at my feet, debating what I should do.

She put her hand on my shoulder, causing me to look up at her, and she said, "This is what's best for you. Trust me. Especially because not long ago Parker and his girlfriend, Halie broke up, and he's been getting a lot more attention. I only have your best interest at heart, and I wouldn't even propose to do something like this if it wasn't sure a huge opportunity for you. Do you understand where I am coming from?"

I nodded, "Yeah I get it. I just can't lose Jaden again."

She frowned, and pulled me into a hug, "It will all be worth it in the end. I'm sure he will understand. He wouldn't want to hold you back from a big opportunity like this."

I sighed, pulling away, "You're right. I will talk to him when I get home." I couldn't believe after all the fighting it took to finally be happy with Jaden, it would have to be put on pause. Sure I loved Parker and his music, but it wasn't the same as the way I loved Jaden.

My thoughts were interrupted by someone tapping me on the shoulder. I turned and it was Parker. He stuck his hand in his pocket, and the other rubbed the back of his neck, "So uh...Ellie, would you like to go get some lunch together?"

I smiled at his nervousness, and nodded, "I would love to."

He smiled and we started to walk out, and he put his hand on the small of my back as we walked outside. "So where do you wanna go to eat?"

I shrugged, "Wherever is fine."

He smiled, "I know a really good small cafe not too far from here, if you're up to it we could go there."

I smiled and nodded, "Sounds perfect."

He led me to his truck and opened my door for me, I smiled getting in. "Thank you."

He smiled, "What kind of man would I be if I didn't open the door for a lady?"

I laughed and shrugged, "No idea."

He smiled and shut my door then walked over and got in on his side, and he started the truck. As we drove, the radio was quietly playing Morgan Wallen, and Parker drummed his fingers softly against his steering wheel and hummed softly. I admired him in his element.

Once the song ended, he looked over at me, and caught me staring. My face turned red, and I immediately looked away. Parker just laughed, "Take a picture it lasts longer." He then winked at me.

I felt myself blush more, "Ok I will." I help my phone up and took a picture of him, and I posted it on my Instagram story without even thinking.

He laughed, "People are going to be blowing your phone and my phone up now."

I nodded, "True. But that's what we want right?"

He nodded, "Yeah I guess so."

We then pulled into the parking lot, and he parked the truck. He got out to come to my side to open my door. Just before he opened the door my phone started ringing.
