Marceline Anne loved Laura, who seemed really nice. Maybe it was her hormones but the woman (who looked like a young version of her mother) radiated warmth.

The brunette took her up to the twins' nursery to see how she'd done that one before taking her to the empty space for the new baby.

Laura Fabray smiled as she started envisioning things. "Do you know what you're having?"

"Not yet." Marceline Anne sighed. "There's been zero time for both of us and I want to share in that together like we did with the twins."

"They're so cute."

"Thank you." Marceline Anne beamed. "Do you have ideas already? Are they gender based?"

"Actually yes to both questions. I know most little girls love pink but Mickey has blue and I'm sure your favorite color isn't pink either so perhaps the new baby, if a girl, would care for a different hue?"

"My favorite color is green." Marceline Anne admitted.

Laura nodded. "So if it's a girl, I'm thinking we keep it girly but maybe not pink? Maybe go for a lavender or lilac?"

Marceline Anne was put out because those were the only two shades of purple that she found acceptable but she wanted her daughter (?) to love green. "That's a good solution."

Laura smiled. "Thank you. I really like how nice and airy Mickey's side of the nursery is so basically it's just matching that but with violet."

"We're going to be busy these next few weeks so we can't oversee anything. Will that be a problem?"

"Not at all. It can be a surprise. Mom and I will work to get everything situated. Will someone be around to let us in?"

"Yes. Besides staff, my brother will be around."

"Is he over eighteen?"

"Yes. He's a responsible adult. And not bad looking either."

Laura found that strange.

"Would you like to meet him so it won't be so jarring?"

Laura did like that though. "Yes, I would. Thank you."

Marceline Anne texted for Marcus Donald to come upstairs.

Pretty soon they could hear heavy footfalls coming towards the room then the door opened.

Laura almost died. Marcus Donald was the most beautiful man she'd ever seen in life, hers or anyone else's.

Marcus Donald looked at this beguiling creature and found his soul easing.

Marceline Anne wondered if this was how she looked with her husband. Then realized what she was thinking and realized that she should set the two of them up! She cleared her throat delicately.

Marcus Donald blinked before a slow smile crossed his face. "How are you, Ms.?"

"Fabray. Laura Fabray." Laura smiled to cover up her nerves.

He took her hand and kissed the back of it. "Marcus Donald Taylor-Jones. Dr. Marcus Donald Taylor-Jones. You may call me Marc."

Marceline Anne went to the window to sit on the sill so she could watch them uninterrupted.

Laura blushed. "I'm just Laura."

"I highly doubt you're just anything." Marcus Donald assured her.

"Thank you, Dr.- Marc."

"I've never heard my name spoken so beautifully before."

Laura almost fell out. Oh my word! "It's a beautiful name."
