A tall boy with ink sleeves hoists a little girl into the air, spinning around until she shrieks with glee, and her hair flies around her head like a golden halo. She clutches his patterned arms, and he grins up at her.
The tattoos spanning both of his arms, disappearing beneath his blue t-shirt are black, mesmerizing patterns, shifting over the sinuous muscles.
Adieeee, stopppp! The girl squeals, and he laughs in that delicious, husky boy-way, lowering her to his hip. She hugs him tightly.
Adrian, someone calls. Then a tall blond woman approaches them with a brown leather bag hanging from the angular crook of her elbow.
He lifts the little girl higher and sits her astride his shoulders. Their hair is the same exact colour, and her smile mirrors his.
Hi, mom. He says, stooping to pick up a black, structured shopping bag.
Sorry it took so long, I saw Maya. She says hello. He flinches at the name.
Um. Hello back? He says, swivelling his shoulders making the little girl start giggling again.
His hair is tousled with his little sister's fingers, and as the sun hits it turns molten gold.
They walk out of the park together, but as they reach the sidewalk he peeks over his shoulder.

Our eyes meet, and he gives me a loose little wave before loping across the street.
