Ungodly Hour
Karter
If two people are completely serious about each other and are determined to make their relationship work, what's one thing that's going to test them?
If they have them, it's gonna be evil exes. Henry isn't an ex, but he's been an admirer forever. Lion's right, they're unknown factors. This thought made a growl rip through us. We do not take well to the unknown. It's our job to make sure we know what's going on most 24/7 in the entire continent.
There's two factors with the potential to run amuck, and I can't fucking have that. I'm not sure how long I spent outside pacing but eventually I heard someone yell, "HEY!"
I screamed and hopped onto the side of my balcony, ready to defend. I growled when I saw Elijah's laughing face opposite of me. "When did you even get here?!"
He pulled himself together and sighed happily. "Oh man you look like a cat that just saw a cucumber." He looked at me with his glittering purple eyes. "I got here like 10 minutes ago. Daddy said you needed my help."
I rolled my eyes at him. "Are you gonna call him Daddy all the time now?"
Elijah tilted his head at me. "Is that not his name?" His eyes began to glow like he dared me to try him, so I just raised my hands.
"I get it, that's your man. The Mr. Right you've waited so long for." I hopped down and reopened the balcony door.
"You're fuckin right, and if that big hunk of man smiles just by hearing me call him Daddy; then you better believe I'm gonna keep him smiling." He hmph'd and crossed his arms before following me into the house. "My name is Daddy's Boy for a reason."
I sniffed twice to see if AK was nearby but I didn't smell him. I took that time to look at Elijah's outfit. He was barely dressed, though that wasn't uncommon for him. He wore a white crop top and jean shorts, only black socks on his feet. His collar hung brightly and proudly on his neck. "You wear that everywhere?"
He snorted. "Fuck no, are you crazy? I wear it where I'm comfortable." He pulled me into my room then looked around. "Now what needs to be fixed?"
I lead him to my still-destroyed bathroom and sat on the sink. "I can explain."
He waved me off. "I see your guilt. I don't want to know." He got to work Teleporting everything back to its original spot. Once the big pieces were taken care of, he set on the little ones until everything looked perfect once again. "Mirror and shower, must've been a rough one."
This time I scoffed. "You have no idea. Speaking of rough ones, I met Jameson and Henry."
Elijah groaned. "Fuckin' Henry. First, though before we get into that. Why are you running from AK again? He's down in your man cave with our siblings and my man, pouting like he lost his... Kitty." He smirked.
I growled at him and walked away. A thought crossed my mind before I got far, though. "Do you remember my mirror from University?"
Before I continued, I saw a wall-length mirror attach itself to the wall next to my bed. "Thank you. Now, I'm no fucking Kitty. He needs to understand that he cannot always get his way! He wants to be too involved in my work."
Elijah followed me into my room, and sat on my bed. "You're literally his entire work, you grumpy feline. It sounded like he just wants to know you'll go to him if you ever get overwhelmed."
I looked at Elijah like he was crazy. "There's no such thing as not being overwhelmed! I could literally have to drop everything and leave right now! He said he's willing to make the sacrifice it takes to be with a Continental, that's already enough emotional strain Elijah! I cannot let him get into my world!"
