So once a year at least I'll get my hair straightened.
That's for a trim and to see my length. Usually I do it to change up my look when celebrating my grandmother's death day.
Everyone has their different reasons and wants for doing so.
Last year I got it straightened, but I felt like the stylist rushed the process and overall I was uncomfortable.
SPEAK UP WHEN GETTING YOUR HAIR STYLED!
At the end of the day you have to walk around like that so explain, before they even touch your head what YOU want.
However this year the stylist was amazing. She ensured that I felt relaxed and listened when I spoke about my hair color.
If you didn't know I am technically a blonde, at the end at least. I color my hair every 3 months or longer. Normally it's a box dye by creme of nature because I don't trust other people in my head. So I have my mother color my hair. Nov 6 was my 2 year coloring anniversary which is crazy!
I always tell people if you want to color your hair and you can handle the extra pressures of colored natural hair, then DO it!
Anyway the entire time to complete the silk press was 4 hours and 30 minutes because she was helping others. I wished I would've voiced my time more. But it's fine.
The total cost came out to $115.00 with the tip. For a color and trim and to straighten (65.00) my hair. And I was not looking to spend that much so please speak with the stylist before sitting in the chair!
These were my results!
From this...(colored at home using creme of nature ginger blonde)
I would've kept this color but my edges were black and my scalp yo were ginger. It was an accident and I just wanted my roots dark.
To this....
Overall in was very happy with the results. I had my hair curled as well.So hair length check too.
I'll post once I wash my hair. I plan on keeping it up for a month due to the cost. Normally I leave it straightened got a week. I praying no heat damage has occurred!
Love y'all
Stay safe, stay blessed, stay sweet
