The Battle on the Bridge

I had been with Zabuza for a week and I've grown close enough to Zabuza and Haku that I'm not about to let them die without a fight and I managed with quite a bit of convincing to get Zabuza to agree to attempt to become a ninja in Konoha if something happens plus if they die now I don't have a good teacher for my sword anymore. Today is the day of the battle and I'm currently picking the lock to my room. You see over the past week I've grown on Zabuza so he doesn't want me to get hurt or have to fight my team. I don't agree so I'm sneaking out to help them not die.

I got to the bridge just as Kakashi got there and settled down to watch the show. Everything was happening just as it should and Haku was just about to sacrifice himself for Zabuza when I intervened. I shoved both Haku and Zabuza out of the way but I got hit in the shoulder by Kakashi's Chidori. Both sides froze in shock in seeing me, but they snapped back to try to see if I was ok when I coughed up blood. Man, the Chidori can really do some damage. While everyone was trying to figure out what to do about me, Gato and his hoard of thugs walked up to us. Catching all of our attentions when he banged his cane on the ground and started laughing. He grinned like a maniac and said, "well, now that you're done beating each other up, I'm just going to kill you all. By the way Zabuza you're fired. You see you we're getting to expensive so I figure get the ninja to wear each other out and now even ordinary thugs can take you down." As soon as his speech was over Zabuza turned to Kakashi and said, "we'll it looks like our battle is over." Before he could continue I interrupted, taking out a sword and standing up. I looked at everyone and said, " anybody have an issue with me killing the small rich man who is going to eventually get you killed off." Nobody could object when I put it that way so I walked through the crowd of people to Gato, watching as he slowly backed away from me. Once he was close to the edge of the bridge I tied his arms and legs together faster than the eye could see and returned to the spot I was in before anyone could notice. I took one step closer and Gato could no longer move. I swung my sword and right before I chopped off his head I adjusted my grip so that I hit him with the flat of my sword just hard enough to both knock him out and send him over the side of the bridge, making it look like I killed him. With that out of the way I walked back to the others just in time for the villagers to show up and scare the thugs away. Once the thugs were gone, the villagers went home leaving Zabuza, Haku, team 7, and I alone on the bridge. They didn't know what to do with theirselves now that the fight was over. It was an awkward silence right up until I declared that Zabuza and Haku were coming back to Konoha with us to live and that nobody had any say in it. Zabuza asked if that included him with the no say and I told him that it didn't matter, he had already agreed. Team 7 didn't seem to like the idea but nobody complained so I took that as an ok. Everybody then walked together off of the bridge. I stood back to watch them being together and waited til they were out of sight before following them. As soon as I moved though, searing pain ripped through my shoulder almost making me fall but instead sending me into a coughing fit. I fought through the pain and made it to the end of the bridge before I collapsed onto the gound falling unconscious from the pain. The last thing I heard before letting the darkness consume me was "HOW COULD WE FOrget...."

Third PoV

The two new allies walked back toward the village together, watching each other to make sure nobody suddenly turns on one another. They were in the middle of town before anyone noticed that Kiara wasn't with them. They only noticed it then because Ken flew in front of them freaking out and grabbing their attention. Once he had their attention he grabbed a sebon from Haku, used it to point towards the bridge, dropped the sebon, and raced back towards Kiara. Everyone followed him as they recognized the butterfly always being with Kiara and finding his actions odd. On the way back it clicked for Kakashi and he sped up, shouting at everyone else, " HOW COULD WE FORGET KIARA!!!! SHE'S INJURED AND WE JUST LEFT HER THERE?" Saying that everyone else sped up as well. Trying to reach Kiara before anything bad could happen.

They arrived at the bridge to see Kiara unconscious and a pool of blood starting to form around her. The ninja all started panicking slightly at the sight of her until Haku gently picked her up and started to run to Tazuna's house with Kiara in his arms. When they arrived Tazuna's daughter took Kiara to a room to patch her up while the ninja were silently praying that Kiara would be alright
