Sophia did not speak to anyone during the feast. She and many of her peers were still disheartened over the defence against the dark arts teacher's teaching style.

Aedion had almost given up trying to get her to speak when Daphne and Ismelda sat down in front of her.

"Don't look now but 'You Know Who' is talking rather fondly to Angelina Johnson," Ismelda whispered.

"And?"

"'And?' What do you mean 'and?'" Daphne whisper-yelled. "You've only been apart for a few months!"

Sophia did not know how to answer her melodramatic friends. Nor did she know the appropriate time period for it to be okay for a person to move on. "He's moved on, and so have I. There really isn't much more to say on the topic."

"Well then, if you dont fancy him, who do you fancy? Ismelda lifted her brow as she began eating her mashed potatoes.

Waiting for her answer, Aedion's eyes were on his friends but his ears were loyal to the conversation beside him. He couldn't help but be interested in who his little sister was crushing on these days.

"No one," Sophia shrugged.

"I'm sure you will find someone to fancy soon. Especially with all the Durmstrang boys running about." Ismelda waved her hands.

Daphne was busy gawking at a brunette boy on the Durmstrang table, her mind too occupied to comprehend the conversation around her.

"Who says I need to fancy someone? Do you fancy anyone?" The Rosier heir picked at the remnants of her chicken as she uninterestingly questioned her nosey friend.

"It usually differs from moment to moment, but at the moment I quite like that Kengsington guy from my Alchemy class."

"Kengsington? Henry Kengsington? The one in Ravenclaw?"

"Yep," Ismelda popped the 'p' as she poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice. "Not only is he smart but he's charismatic and funny and not to mention unbelievably cute."

As Sophia became obliged to listen to her friend's newest boy conquest she noticed Draco, who was a few seats away across from her, finished with his plate. She took it as her cue to excuse herself and mentally prepare herself for their study session.

She went over to Draco who was listening to Crabbe and Goyle fangirl over Victor Krum who was now a guest at their school.

"Are you ready to go?"

Draco looked up at her and stood up from his seat. "Yeah, let's go."

The two rivals sat opposite each other on the small table in the library. They had divided the theoretical aspect of their assignment into two and were now quietly completing the work. When they spoke it was quietly and only for minute questions or confirmations. When they looked at the other it was in secret when their partner was unaware.

Sophia had never realised how attractive the youngest Malfoy was until that moment. There was no one feature on his face that made him appealing, though his eyes were definitely memorable enough to be crowned responsible for his magnetic field. His eyes were soft when he looked at his parchment, now half drowning in ink as his steady hands quickly wrote down the origin of each ingredient that they were to use in the potion. His eyes were never that soft when he looked at her. When he looked at her he looked at her with an incurable venom. His grey eyes became darker when they met her own blue ones. Now, in this calm, the blue in his eyes won dominance over the calamitous greys that swam in his eyes. They made him look...well...beautiful.
