Sophia did not look into the Malfoy's eyes, nor did she speak to him. In her mind, it never happened.

When the first task was over Sophia took an ephemeral vow of silence until she was safely away from the platinum blonde.

And so, in light of her vow, the walk back into the castle was silent on Sophia's part. She did not speak or listen to the gushing from her friends beside her.

She walked in unattached silence as her roommates weighed in their opinions on the champion's tactics and skills.

As she strolled through the grounds she took she allowed her thoughts to disappear, to just take in her surroundings and unattach herself from the chaos around her. Her golden hair was wild as the zephyr ran nimble fingers through her soft waves. The sky beginning to fade into black as the sun sank into his bed.

The girl looked up at the low moon that had already emerged in the still somewhat light sky. The clouds were no longer lined with silver and we no longer bright and glowing in pure white. Instead, they flushed shades of pink and orange. Hues of purple struck out vividly in the late afternoon sky.

The sunset was a beautiful distraction. But it wasn't distraction enough. She should have moved her knee. Sophia cursed herself again and again in her head. She hated herself for not moving her leg, for not distancing herself from the cavalier blond.

And she was expected to study with him tomorrow. Fuck.

The day of her study date with Draco had come again.

It was all she could think about in bed last night. It haunted her dreams and tormented her thoughts during breakfast. It distracted her in the classroom and it killed her sanity now, standing in front of the mirror, fixing her hair.

She wore a tight plaid skirt and a black sweater with a white turtleneck. Wearing her favourite black heels, Sophia looked herself in the mirror.

"You hate Draco Malfoy," she told herself. "He is vile and arrogant," She did the spell for winged eyeliner on one of her eyes. "You hate him, and he hates you," Then she cast the spell on the other eye. "Fuck Draco Malfoy, he sucks and you hate him even more than he hates you."

When she was done with her makeup and self-lecture Sophia left the room to go to the Potions room reserved for out of class tasks.

When she arrived, Draco Malfoy was already there.

He stood over the ingredient cabinet in a white collared shirt, the sleeves rolled up to expose his forearms.

He looked good. Shut up, Sophia.

"Hey," Sophia announced her arrival.

Draco turned around to face her, his hair falling in front of his face. Sophia had to tug on the tight leash she now kept her mind on. She refused to glimpse at the traitorous thoughts she had about him recently.

"Hey. I've prepared our ingredients, we can finish the first part of the potion in just over an hour."

"Wonderful," Sophia walked up to the desk where the materials had already been set up and began to flick through the potions book on it to find the instructions for their potion.

Draco and Sophia did not speak as they worked.

Sophia read out the steps and Draco silently placed them into the cauldron.

They took turns stirring and aimed to keep the conversation at a minimum, and not speak unless it was necessary. Or at least that was Sophia's plan.
