Third Person's POV
"Come in!" His dad exclaimed without looking up from his paperwork.
Arjun slowly and cautiously entered his room as he knew that now was not the time to get mad and act impulsively. It was a very precarious situation for him and he also knew that he has to take a very calculative step now to extract valuable information from him.
He slipped the note on the table and his father slowly lifted his head looking at the piece of paper inquisitively.
"Where is it?" Arjun asked him after looking at his father's face which had paled significantly after reading that note.
"Why did you want to go there now?" His dad asked him looking at him with a blank expression so as to not look anymore suspicious than he already was.
Arjun sighed in annoyance and pinched the bridge of his nose. It was clearly visible that whatever was in that note, his father clearly knows about it and he also knows that his father knows about the location where his grandmother is now residing.
His father was not that well of an actor, after all.
He needed to extract this information at any cost and he knew just the way to get hold of that. He took out his phone and fumbled with it for a few seconds before turning it towards his father and whatever he saw has further succeeded in making him more nervous and his face was if as he has seen a ghost and not just a video.
"W-where where did you get this from?" He questioned Arjun with a terrified expression on his face.
"I think this is good enough for you to now reveal the information which I need." Arjun said with his eyebrow raised.
It was one of his tactic, to make his opponents feel as if they have the upper hand and then slowly drag them to a stage where they can't do anything but to give him what he wants.
He knew it was going to work this time as well and he smirked when he saw his father wiping his sweat with shaking hands.
"It is just a small piece of information, I am sure you wouldn't want to risk your precious reputation for this crap. Am I right?" Arjun asked.
His father was still looking at him silently as if he was saying that he cannot do that as he was next heir to his father's empire after him.
"You very well know that I am capable enough to build my own empire without your help. I think it was quite evident." Arjun said smugly.
His dad sputtered in response when Arjun lingered his finger on the send button.
"No! Please don't! I'll tell you." He yelled in panic and Arjun smirked victoriously knowing he will now be able to find out every single thing.
*****
Navya threw her files, her office bag along with her on the bed and sighed. It was a very long and a tiring day for her at work but also a satisfied day.
Her morning began with the wonderful heart to heart talk with Arjun, with him indirectly accepting her as a part his life and declaring his not so open love for her.
