Chapter Nine

Third Person's P.O.V

Arjun saw the wall in front of them and smirked knowing he got it right. The wall was blocking them from running further so they both stopped in front of the wall, their backs facing it's front.

Those men were panting like dogs and when saw the look on Arjun's face, they were bewildered and looked at each other's faces.

"You have done a very big mistake by involving the girl in this mess. Now we will have to kill both of you." One of the men with brown hair and black eyes said.

"Then kill us. Who's stopping you?" Arjun asked and his smirk grew wider when he saw the look on their faces. Hearing him say that, Navya gasped in shock and turned him so that he was now facing her.

"Arjun." Navya hissed and he raised his eyebrow in question.

"Why are you provoking them. What if they really kill us?" She asked, nervously looking at those men who were thrice her size.

"Don't worry. They won't do that. They cannot do that." Arjun replied shrugging.

When he didn't hear a reply he turned to see her and found her looking at him as if he was crazy.

"What?" He asked, knitting his eyebrows and she shook her head in utter disbelief.

How can he be so confident and cocky in such situations. She thought and nervously glanced at those men.

"What do y-" She was about to ask him what does he mean when she heard the unmistakable police siren and breathed a sigh of relief.

"You little piece of shit." One of the man cursed loudly under his breath and they all turned around to escape from here as they didn't want to be caught by the police.

But before they could even take a step, they were surrounded by cops and they gulped in fear.

"Hands up, guns down." The cop yelled and they did so.

One of the man discreetly took out his pistol and was about to shoot a cop when Arjun reached there in time and twisted his hand back. He took the gun out his hand and threw it on the ground in front of the cops.

"Please leave us sir. We don't have anything to do with this." One of the man pleaded folding his hand in front of him.

"Well, the thing is I want you all to be the witness and also tell the truth about your boss and about all the people involved in this. If you all don't agree then you are going to be behind the bars for the rear of your lives. If you do as I say then after my work is done, I'll pay you generously or else you know where you'll be and you family...." He clicked his tongue and their eyes widened in shock.

"Yes sir, we will do as you say. Please leave us." One man murmured and Arjun nodded in satisfaction.

He asked the cops to write down their statement called his Advocate to tell him all at happened today. He also called Agastya and told him to go back home safely.

Navya was standing there silently looking at all that was happening.

The cops took those men along with them and Navya turned to Arjun.
