(Shinobu's POV)

"Do you... love me?"

I almost dropped my phone again, but this time I grabbed onto it with my other hand. I didn't know how to respond, and I had many responses, such as:

1. Ara ara Tomioka-san, I never knew you were into such things

2. Are you joking Tomioka-san? Because I don't understand why you're asking me this question

3. Ummm..... Kanae's calling me, see you later!

4. I..... yes I do....

Quickly Shinobu.... choose one!

"Ara ara Tomioka-san, I never knew you were into such things," I said. Tomioka didn't reply, so I knew I chose the right option. "Just answer my question Kocho," he demanded. "Why do you need to know though? It's none of your business really," I said. "Just answer me," he demanded again. "Oh my Tomioka-san, you just don't get it do you? It's not really your business, besides why does the stoic Giyu Tomioka want to know?" I asked curiously. I could tell I was agitating him, but I was enjoying it. "Please just answer me," he began once again. "Tomioka-san, I told you it's none of your business. Now tell me why you want to know," then unexpectedly, Tomioka hung upon me. I sighed. Putting away my phone and laying down on my bed. I wonder why he asked though, that was very out of character. I'll just ask him tomorrow.

(No ones POV)

It had been 3 weeks since that incident and Tomioka had avoided Shinobu the whole time. He didn't even spare her a glance. This hurt Shinobu's feelings and she believed that she shouldn't have pushed that far. Every time he ignored her, she felt a sharp stinging pain in her chest, like a sharp needle had pierced through her.

Shinobu was returning from the grocery store when she saw Tomioka in front of a house, opening the fence gate. She was tired of him ignoring her like she didn't exist so she decided to take initiative. She ran up to him and gripped onto his haori, earning a look from him as he tried to loosen her grip. He eventually gave up when he realised she wouldn't let go.

"Tomioka-san.... why are you running away from me?" Shinobu asked, tears beginning to stream down her face. Tomioka didn't answer and this hurt Shinobu even more. "Tomioka-san! Answer me!" Shinobu shouted. Tomioka sighed before saying "leave me alone Kocho." This broke her heart. "W-why...?" She asked, clearly confused. "Isn't it obvious?" He asked. "You hurt my feelings. That question I asked you on the phone. Your answer meant so much to me and you didn't even answer. Instead you just pushed on why I asked and teased me." He said, his eyes beginning to water. "I-I'm sorry.... I didn't know...." Shinobu whimpered. "Just leave," Tomioka said. "N-no," Shinobu refused. "Why was that answer so important anyways?" She asked. "Leave!" Tomioka shouted. Her eyes widened. She had never heard him raze his voice like that. And the fact that he was shouting at her broke her heart completely. "No! Tell me Tomioka-san!" She shouted back as tears poured down both of their faces. "Just leave!" He then shouted. "No! I won't leave until you tell m-"

"It's because I love you!"

This answer left Shinobu in shock. She realised she screwed up. She screwed up really bad.

"Now leave."

Shinobu lowered her head, her grip on his haori loosened as she turned around and began walking away. She was about to turn the corner when she turned around and smiled her usual one at Tomioka. "I love you too...." she muttered. Turning around as tears fell down her face to the ground as she began running. Tomioka looked at the corner where she stood before. He had no clue Shinobu loved him too. And he just told her to leave and never come back. He immediately began to run after her, calling her name as they ran. Tears falling from their faces. Both of their hearts shattered.
