I grab the small piece of scented paper folded into two. Confirming my assumptions, I put it back inside the peach-colored small envelope where it was originally placed.

Sighing, I slide it inside my pocket and turn off my computer.

My phone buzzes, indicating that someone texted me.

I'll come pick you up, Kenma.

I roll my eyes, typing my reply afterwards.

Oh please, I have my car.

I haven't even blinked when another reply comes up.

We all know you're not a good driver. I'm on my way.

I sigh in defeat, turning off my phone and proceed to strut outside, locking the door behind me.

As I step out of the building, I can already see a familiar figure leaning on my car.

Damn, looking cool.

I walk towards him, raising my other brow as a greeting.

He just chuckles, his black locks dancing with him as he does it.

We got inside the car in silence.

"How's work, Mr. CEO?" he teases me.

"Fuck off, I'm tired."

Keiji only smirks and turns the key to start the engine.

"Should I apply there? I can help you," he teases me more.

I give him a fake smile. "No."

He chuckles, shaking his head. His hands are holding the stirring wheel, his sleeves are rolled up to his arms.

"Aren't you uncomfortable wearing long sleeves?" I ask. But I got to admit that he looks fucking hot.

"I got used to it and you should too," he replies, eyes fixed on the road.

"It's my company, I can wear anything," I deadpan.

"Okay, boss." He smirks.

I can feel my cheeks heat up so I face the window beside me as I complain, "D-don't call me that!"

I fucking stuttered.

"Why? You're a boss."

"It's embarrassing."

He laughs. "Alright alright."

Silence then envelopes the car. I just watch the buildings and the city lights we pass by, one hand on my cheek as I leaned into it.

"Did you get it?" Keiji breaks the silence after what seemed to be like hours. My company is far from my house and I'm planning to move to a closer one in maybe a month. I just couldn't find a time.

"What?" I ask, feeling a little sleepy.

"You know what it is."

I tilt my head and face Keiji, furrowing my brows afterwards. "I don't get what you're saying."

He gives me a sideward glance. "The invitation."

"Oh."

The invitation.

I return to my original position, avoiding Keiji's sideward glances.

"The invitation is cool," I point out.

"You coming?"

"Of course," I pause. "It's my childhood friend's wedding. I shouldn't miss it."

"Kenma, he's your ex."
