IF YOU TOOK a look at melissa carver you would never assume she was natalia carver's twin. you would never be able to tell she was samuel carver's younger cousin. she was just different from the rest of her family and that was that.
natalia was the girl everyone loved but they hated who she chose to hung out with. with good grades, everyone loved her older cousin, and she was just a love able person in general.
melissa was the girl everyone despised because she was too independent and nerdy. her nose was always stuck in a book. but most importantly, because she liked girls. everyone assumed that at least. and it was true. but she'd never admit that. only two people knew that, natalia and a girl named evelyn who had caught her kissing bailey- no one knows her last name under the bleachers in a few months earlier.
evelyn swore to never tell anyone and she didn't surprisingly. bailey moved a week after the whole incident.
on another note, surprisingly, melissa and natalia are close. very, very close. they'd stay up all night just to listen to the other talk about their problems. they'd stay all night to comfort each other after something bad had happened. but they weren't always like that.
after the death of mr. and mrs. carver they were attached to the hip. before then, they practically hated each other. they always got into arguments, about something stupid. it was quite strange how a death forced them from hatred, to being best friends.
MILES DAVIS GREW up with a rich dad who brought him whatever he wanted, and more but he barely paid attention to him.
his mother was nice. she cooked, worked at a library. got him books, he liked to read.
he had a younger brother who had his own friends and could barely give two shits about him.
AIDEN MARSH never felt love. never has and he thinks he never will. his parents didn't care for him, but they didn't mistreat him either.
they fed him, got him whatever he needed. but did they want him? no.
aiden was just left at their doorstep as a newborn baby and they had no choice but to take him in.
